The high chair includes an H-shaped base member having a vertical pedestal member that houses a gas cylinder that provides height adjustment for the seat member and that supports the seat member for rotational movement relative to the pedestal. The H-shaped base allows the high chair to be positioned close to the caregiver. A swivel lock includes an actuation lever that has handles positioned on opposing sides of the seat member for actuation from either side of the high chair. The pivoted actuation lever also includes a spring-loaded stop member that is engagable with a toothed gear plate affixed to the pedestal to secure the rotated position of the seat member by positioning the stop member between teeth on the gear plate.02-12-2009
20090056013Play Yard with Height Adjustable Bassinet - A play yard frame structure includes upper and lower horizontal frame members and vertical frame members with a fabric body that extends over the exterior of the frame structure. The fabric body has fastening tabs that extend from the corners of the fabric body corresponding to the vertical frame members to be passed through openings in the foot members for fastening to the foot members on a surface that is not on the exterior of the frame structure to provide a taut panel that extends around the lower perimeter of the play yard below the lower horizontal frame members. The bassinet structure includes a height adjustment feature that enables the floor surface of the bassinet structure to be positioned selectively at multiple height positions relative to the upper horizontal frame members. In one embodiment, the fabric walls of the bassinet include secondary frame tunnels for supporting the bassinet frame.03-05-2009
20100044985System and Method for Mounting Different Types of Infant Carriers on a Support Structure - A system and method are provided for detachably mounting different types of infant carriers on a support structure. The system includes a mounting platform provided on a frame of the support structure. The mounting platform includes a first and second coupling structure. The first coupling structure is adapted to engage with a first fastener structure of a first infant carrier, whereas the second coupling structure is adapted to engage with a second fastener structure of a second infant carrier. The mounting platform also includes a rotary support base that can be rotated relative to the frame between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the support lo base enables engagement of the first coupling structure with the first fastener structure. In the second position, the support structure enables engagement of the second coupling structure with the second fastener structure.02-25-2010
20100058535System and method for storing an accessory part in a play yard - A system for facilitating the storage of an accessory part such as a changer station, bassinet or canopy includes a play yard, and an accessory kit that can be detachably or permanently secured on the play yard. The play yard comprises a frame structure having a plurality of side rail assemblies. The accessory kit comprises a foldable accessory part and a storage pocket that can be secured with one upper rim of the play yard. The accessory part can be folded into a compact form that fits in the storage pocket. When the user wishes to use the accessory part, the user can pull out and unfold the accessory part, and then fasten the accessory part on opposite sides of the play yard for adequate support. The ability to stow the accessory part in a compact manner in the play yard facilitates portability of the accessory part and play yard.03-11-2010
