20080225999System and method for broadband pulse detection among multiple interferers using a picket fence receiver - A system and method to detect broadband pulses in the presence of multiple arrow band interferers is disclosed whereby a picket fence filtering method is detect and ignore the signal at the precise location of the narrow band interferers.09-18-2008
20080226002System and method for broadband pulse detection among multiple interferers using a dynamic filter receiver - A system and method to detect broadband pulses in the presence of multiple strong narrow band interferers is disclosed whereby a dynamic filtering method is used to detect and notch out the interfering signal by forming notch filters at the precise location of the narrow band interferers.09-18-2008
20080279175Off network mobile to mobile calling using SIP protocol - This invention addresses the need to transport high bit-rate data to multiple users, or between users, over wired and wireless means. Specifically, this disclosure describes a new method of enabling communication from mobile phone to mobile phone when no network services are available as long as radio contact between the mobile handsets is possible by reserving un-assigned timeslots in the medium access control protocol super frame structure.11-13-2008
20080280628Mobile handset information stream - A system and method which allows for a more direct form of presenting useful information to a mobile handset user is disclosed. More specifically a method to dedicate a transmission period of the MAC protocol when certain pre-formatted information is transmitted to all users on a network.11-13-2008
20090245328Integer cycle frequency hopping modulation for the radio frequency transmission of high speed data - The invention disclosed in this application uses a method of modulation named Integer Cycle Frequency Hopping (ICFH) wherein a carrier signal, comprised of a continuum of sine waves is generated on a single frequency. A data bit representing either a “1” or a “0”, depending upon the logic polarity chosen by the builder is imposed upon the carrier signal by modifying the carrier signal at precisely the zero crossing point or the zero degree angle. The method of imposing the data is to cause either a lengthening or shortening of the proceeding 360 degrees of phase angle, thus effectively either raising or lowering the frequency of the carrier signal for just the one, or a succession of cycles at hand. Upon completion of the 360-degree cycle(s), the carrier will return to the original frequency. The main carrier frequency is only modulated beginning at the zero degree phase angle and ending at the 360-degree phase angle. In this modulation scheme as few as one sine wave cycle can be used to represent one data bit. The spectral output of a transmitting device using this modulation scheme will be defined by the difference in frequency between the main carrier signal and the modulating frequency. In the resulting signal a modulated segment of the main carrier frequency can represent either a binary “1” or a binary “0”.10-01-2009
20100027714System and method for power saving coding in integer cycle or impulse type modulation transmissions - A system and method for substantially reducing average transmit power by omitting the transmission of a majority of pulses by using a modified run length coding to reduce signal power. By lowering the average power, an opportunity is presented to either decrease the total power drawn by the transmitter (battery life) or raise the peak power of all symbols (Eb/No), thereby increasing range of a RF transmission system.02-04-2010
20100148954Mobile handset proximity location - A system and method which allows for a more direct form of presenting useful information to a mobile handset user is disclosed. More specifically a method to supply increased functionality to a mobile handset by adding a friend location function to mobile handsets, and to provide a location/homing function to mobile handsets when they are within a prescribed relative range of each other.06-17-2010
20100151887Mobile handset proximity social networking - A system and method which allows for a more direct form of presenting useful information to a mobile handset user is disclosed. More specifically a method to facilitate social networking activated by the relative proximity of one mobile handset user to another that alerts mobile users when friends or co-workers are within a given proximity is disclosed.06-17-2010
