20100029234MIXER CELL WITH A DYNAMIC BLEED CIRCUIT - A mixer is described having a Gilbert cell structure including a first input and a second input for inputting an RF signal, a third input and a fourth input for inputting a local oscillator signal, a first output and a second output for outputting an IF signal, a plurality of switches for converting the RF signal to an IF signal, and a dynamic bleed circuit for dynamically reducing the dc-current of the switches at the switching-point. As the dc-current of the switches is reduced at the point of commutation, the 1/f-noise is also strongly reduced without degrading the linearity. The switching happens at twice the local oscillator frequency. The mixer also includes a common mode feedback circuit that feeds the common mode signal, optionally amplified, to a common mode feedback control device that is in series between the dynamic bleed circuit and the supply voltage.02-04-2010

20090071819ELECTROLYZER CELL STACK SYSTEM - Some embodiments of the present invention provide a balance-of-plant system and apparatus suited for regulating the operation of an electrolyzer cell stack. Specifically, in some embodiments, a balance-of-plant system and apparatus is operable to regulate the respective pressures of at least two reaction products relative to one another. Various examples are provided to demonstrate how the respective pressures of two reaction products can be regulated in relation to one another in a pressure following configuration, thereby regulating the pressure differential across an electrolyte layer according to aspects of different embodiments of the invention. Some of the examples provided also include design simplifications and alternatives that may reduce production costs of electrochemical cells configured according to aspects of different embodiments of the invention.03-19-2009

20100094161QUANTITATIVE, NON-INVASIVE, CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS OF TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY USING SIMULATED DISTANCE VISUAL STIMULUS DEVICE FOR NEUROLOGIC TESTING - A portable virtual reality device is disclosed that will facilitate the effective and efficient screening for TBI in military personnel in forward deployed military settings or remote locations using minimally trained staff. This includes the establishment of a protocol that will provide cost effective pre-screening of military personnel prior to deployment to establish a baseline of brain function prior to possible future injury. The efficiency of the device will promote subsequent follow-up screening to assess the effectiveness of prescribed TBI treatment. Further protocols for diagnosis and rehabilitation applications using the same virtual reality portable device will allow more advanced usage for clinicians providing ongoing evaluation and treatment.04-15-2010

20080273084INTEGRATED VIDEO AND ELECTRO-OCULOGRAPHY SYSTEM - A goggle based light-weight VOG/EOG system includes at least one digital camera connected to and powered by a laptop computer through a firewire connection. The EOG system is incorporated directly into a goggle base. The digital camera may digitally center the pupil in both the X and Y directions. A calibration mechanism may be incorporated onto the goggle base. The VOG system may track and record 3-D movement of the eye, track pupil dilation, head position and goggle slippage. An animated eye display provides data in a more meaningful fashion. The VOG system is a modular design whereby the same goggle frame or base is used to build a variety of digital camera VOG systems.11-06-2008
20080278685PORTABLE MODULAR VIDEO OCULOGRAPHY SYSTEM AND VIDEO OCCULOGRAPHY SYSTEM WITH HEAD POSITION SENSOR AND VIDEO OCCULOGRAPHY SYSTEM WITH ANIMATED EYE DISPLAY - A goggle based light-weight VOG system includes at least one digital camera connected to and powered by a laptop computer through a firewire connection and allows for region of interest image processing. The VOG system is a modular design whereby the same goggle frame or base is used to build a variety of digital camera VOG systems. The VOG system may track and record head position and goggle slippage. An animated eye display may provide data in a more meaningful fashion.
