20090053959Soft and Elastic Nonwoven Polypropylene Compositions - This invention relates to a nonwoven fabric having a first component of from 5% to 99% by weight based on the total weight of the composition wherein the first component is selected from the group consisting of homopolymers of propylene and random copolymers of propylene, the first component having a heat of fusion as determined by DSC of less than 50 J/g and stereoregular propylene crystallinity; and a second component having from 95% to 1% by weight based on the total weight of the composition of a propylene polymer or blends of propylene polymers; wherein the nonwoven fabric has a permanent set of less than 60%.02-26-2009
20090121372Method and Apparatus for Pelletizing A Polymer Feed - A method and apparatus are described in which a polymer feed is pelletized by introducing the polymer feed to an extruder, removing heat from the polymer feed in the extruder, and extruding the polymer feed through a pelletizing die.05-14-2009
20090306281Polyolefin Adhesive Compositions and Articles Made Therefrom - Provided are adhesive compositions composed of a polyolefin composition comprising at least about 50 wt. % polypropylene and at least one wax. The polymer compositions have a Dot T-Peel of about 1 Newton or more, a branching index (g′) of 0.95 or less measured at the Mz of the polymer, a molecular weight of 100,000 or less, and the adhesive compositions has a fast set time. The packaging industry desires adhesive compositions having a fast set time, such as those setting in less than five seconds from a molten state at conventional packaging operating temperatures to a solid or quasi solid having favorable Dot T-Peel, set time, and or fiber tear adhesion properties. Polymer based adhesives performing within this window are a favorable alternative to conventional formulated adhesives. The provided adhesive compositions exhibit a favorable balance of properties such as high adhesive strength, wide temperature operating window, and fast set time.12-10-2009
20100029829Propylene copolymers for adhesive applications - Disclosed herein are adhesives comprising a copolymer comprising at least 80 wt % of units derived from propylene and from about 1 to about 20 wt % of units derived from at least one C02-04-2010
20100029851Propylene copolymers for adhesive applications - Disclosed herein is an in-reactor produced multi-component copolymer comprises a semi-crystalline component having a crystallinity of 20% or more, and an amorphous component having a crystallinity of 5% or less. The copolymer comprises at least 80 wt % of units derived from propylene and from about 1 to about 20 wt % of units derived from at least one C02-04-2010
20100124607Adhesive Compositions And Methods Of Making The Same - Provided are methods for preparing agglomeration resistant particles composed of tacky polymer compositions. The method includes the steps of providing particles of the polymer composition at or above the glass transition temperature of the polymer composition, increasing the tackiness of the polymer composition particles by contacting the polymer composition particle with a first fluid at an elevated temperature, while the polymer composition particles are in contact with the first fluid, contacting the polymer composition particles with an antiblock composition, and separating the polymer composition particles from the first fluid. These methods at least partially coat the polymer composition particles with the antiblock composition.05-20-2010
20100179268Propylene copolymers for adhesive applications - Disclosed herein are adhesives comprising a copolymer comprising at least 80 wt % of units derived from propylene and from about 1 to about 20 wt % of units derived from at least one C07-15-2010
