20120007358Gasket Retention System for Flange Coupling - A gasket retention system and flange coupling has a ring gasket that disposes in seal seats on opposing flanges. One or more retainer tabs extend from an outer periphery of the ring gasket. Preferably, the ring gasket defines a slot on the outer periphery, and the retainer tab affixes with an interference fit in the slot to be held therein. The retainer tab defines a transverse opening therethrough. When the ring gasket fits into the seal seat of one of the flanges, the transverse opening of the tab fits onto a fastener affixed in a pre-drilled hole in the face of the flange.01-12-2012

20100148969OPTIMIZATION OF THE FIELD PROFILE ON A HIGH FIELD STRENGTH MAGNETIC DETACHER - A magnetic detacher has a core magnet and a ring magnet. The core magnet has a body with a top and bottom surface, and produces a first magnetic field. The ring magnet defines a cavity. The ring magnet has a body with a top and bottom and produces a second magnetic field. The ring magnet is axially aligned with the core magnet such that the first magnetic field opposes the second magnetic field along the bodies and enhances it within the cavity. The top surface of the core magnet is separated from the bottom surface of the ring magnet by a predetermined distance thereby producing a resultant magnetic field having a first resultant field strength at a specific position greater than a second resultant field strength produced at the same position when the top surface of the core magnet abuts the bottom surface of the ring magnet.06-17-2010
20110001620COMBINATION EAS AND RFID SECURITY TAG HAVING STRUCTURE FOR ORIENTING A HYBRID ANTENNA RFID ELEMENT - A security tag including independent EAS and RFID components disposed in a housing configured for geometric placement of the RFID and EAS components for optimum RFID performance. The EAS component is situated in a first compartment and the RFID component is situated in a second compartment. The RFID component includes a hybrid antenna RFID inlay and an IC chip. The tag housing includes a key structure that minimizes the de-tuning of both the EAS and RFID components by positioning the IC chip such that the IC chip is closer to a first side of the second compartment than the second side of the second compartment when the antenna inlay is inserted within the housing. The housing further includes one or more pins that raise the RFID inlay above the magnetic resonator of the EAS component to further insure optimal RFID read performance.01-06-2011

20120096475ORDERED PROCESSING OF GROUPS OF MESSAGES - A highly parallel, asynchronous data flow processing system in which processing is represented by a directed graph model, can include processing nodes that generate, and process, groups of dependent messages and that process messages within such groups in order. Other messages can be processed in whatever order they are received by a processing node. To identify a group of dependent messages, message identifiers are applied to a message. Processing of a message may generate child messages. A child message is assigned a message identifier that incorporates the associated message identifier of the parent message. The message identifier of the parent message is annotated to indicate the number of related child messages. When a group of messages is to be processed by a processing node in order, the processing node maintains a buffer in which messages in the group are stored. When a message is received, its message identifier indicates whether it is in a group, its parent node, if any, and the number of child nodes it has if it is a parent node. From this information, it can be determined whether all messages within the group have been received. When all of the messages within the group have been received, the processing node can process the messages in order.04-19-2012

20100005054Querying joined data within a search engine index - Techniques and systems for indexing and retrieving data and documents stored in a record-based database management system (RDBMS) utilize a search engine interface. Search-engine indices are created from tables in the RDBMS and data from the tables is used to create “documents” for each record. Queries that require data from multiple tables may be parsed into a primary query and a set of one or more secondary queries. Join mappings and documents are created for the necessary tables. Documents matching the query string are retrieved using the search-engine indices and join mappings.01-07-2010
20100005147Ordered message processing - Messages are processed to guarantee proper work scheduling and allow for cyclic and conditional processing. A processing node requiring ordered processing of messages is configured to operate within a plurality of successive processing nodes not requiring ordering processing of messages. Nodes upstream of the ordered node (i) monitor skew between the messages being processed and messages that are ordered after the messages still being processed and that have been forwarded downstream of the node and (ii) pause processing upon reaching skew limits. The nodes upstream of the ordered node limit output of messages to be within a delta of other messages as defined by message IDs. In addition, messages removed from a flow path are replaced by Null messages for ordered processing. Child messages are encoded to incorporate parent IDs preserving ordering systems.01-07-2010
