20090194478Reverse Osmosis System - Embodiments of the invention provide a reverse osmosis system including a feed water inlet, a reverse osmosis module coupled to the feed water inlet, and at least one blend valve. The blend valve can be coupled to a permeate outlet and the feed water inlet and can be capable of blending the feed water and the permeate water to produce mixed water. The blend valve can be adjusted to achieve a desired TDS level in the mixed water.08-06-2009
20100224540Membrane Module for Fluid Filtration - Embodiments of the invention provide a membrane module including a first plurality of fibers capable of filtering fluids that are helically wound in layers creating a mono helix. Fluids to be treated can flow radially with respect to a longitudinal axis of the mono helix or parallel to the longitudinal axis of the mono helix. The membrane module can further include a second plurality of fibers that are helically wound with the first plurality of fibers to create a dual helix. The second plurality of fibers can have different properties than the first plurality of fibers in order to achieve different filtering functionalities.09-09-2010

20100224562Ultraviolet Disinfection System and Method - Embodiments of the invention provide an ultraviolet disinfection system for use with a chamber containing fluid to be treated. The ultraviolet disinfection system includes an ultraviolet light source positioned outside of the chamber, a light manifold, and light fibers extending into the chamber. The light fibers radially disperse the ultraviolet light in order to provide a substantially uniform distribution of ultraviolet light along at least a portion of a longitudinal axis of the chamber.09-09-2010

20110098804STENTED TRANSCATHETER PROSTHETIC HEART VALVE DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD - A percutaneous stented valve delivery device including an inner shaft, a sheath, and a delivery capsule. The sheath slidably receives the inner shaft. A capsule proximal zone is attached to the sheath. A capsule distal zone is configured to transition between normal and flared states. A diameter of the distal zone is greater in the flared state, and the capsule includes a shape memory component that naturally assumes the normal state. The device is operable to perform a reversible partial deployment procedure in which a portion of the prosthesis is exposed distal the capsule and allowed to radially expand. Subsequently, with distal advancement of the capsule, the distal zone transitions to the flared state and imparts a collapsing force onto the prosthesis, causing the prosthesis to radially collapse and become recaptured within the delivery capsule. The capsule can include a laser cut tube encapsulated by a polymer.04-28-2011

20080264398Auxiliary Power Compensation During Map Testing - A method for updating a map in a vehicle having an internal combustion engine and an auxiliary power source is provided. The method includes changing an input parameter; monitoring an actual output value corresponding to the changed input parameter; mapping the monitored actual output value to the changed input parameter; and compensating engine output with the auxiliary power source to account for changes to engine output resulting from changing the input parameter.10-30-2008
