20110101919LITHIUM ION BATTERY PACK - A lithium iron phosphate battery pack is disclosed. The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells, arranged as groups of cells, a controller circuit, and a plurality of intercell tabs coupling the groups of battery cells to the controller circuit. The controller circuit includes a voltage sensor for monitoring the voltage across each of the groups of cells. If one of the groups has a voltage that is lower or higher than a respective lower or upper threshold voltage, the controller circuit will shut off the charge/discharge cycling of all the groups of cells. In doing so, the controller circuit protects the entire battery pack during charge/discharge cycling.05-05-2011

20110028996Tissue Connector Apparatus and Methods - Tissue connector assemblies having at least two piercing members, each releaseably coupled to a surgical fastener such as a surgical clip. A flexible member such as a suture may be used to couple one or both piercing members to respective ends of the fastener.02-03-2011
20110126395Multiple Bias Surgical Fastener - A surgical fastener comprising a clip movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration and a biasing member contacting the clip and biasing the dip to its open configuration when the biasing member is actuated. The biasing member and clip both tend to assume the closed configuration when no external forces are applied to them. A needle may be releasably attached to the clip. Methods for making the fasteners are also disclosed, in which both the clip and the biasing member are set in the closed position.06-02-2011
20110184442Apparatus and Methods for Anastomosis - Apparatus and methods for performing an anastomosis. More particularly, the apparatus may be used to perform a single or multiple anastomosis with the ability of maintaining fluid flow (e.g., blood) through the anastomosis vessel according to one aspect of the invention.07-28-2011

20100005655TUBING INSTALLATION TOOL FOR A PERISTALTIC PUMP AND METHODS OF USE - A peristaltic pump is provided that can comprise a safety switch in order to control an operational parameter of the pump in response to a state of the pump. Additionally, methods are provided for maintaining and replacing tubing of the pump. A tubing installation tool is also provided for handling industrial tubing during installation or removal of the tubing from a pump.01-14-2010
20100008755METHOD OF EXTENDING TUBING LIFE OF A PERISTALTIC PUMP - A method is provided for extending useful life of tubing of a peristaltic pump. The method can comprise switching inlet and discharge hoses between respective inlet and outlet ends of the tubing of the peristaltic pump, and reversing a direction of rotation of a rotor of the peristaltic pump. In implementations of methods disclosed herein, the useful life of the tubing of a peristaltic pump can be approximately doubled.01-14-2010
20100008793SAFETY SWITCH ON A PERISTALTIC PUMP - A peristaltic pump is provided that is configured to facilitate safe maintenance of the pump. The pump can comprise a pump body having a pump head and a head cover and a safety switch mechanism. The safety switch mechanism can comprise one or more sensors that allow the pump to detect whether the head cover is in an open or closed position. When the pump is powered-on, the pump can be configured to enter a maintenance mode when the safety switch detects that the head cover is in the open position.01-14-2010
20110153031COMPONENT CONTROL SYSTEM - A system and method are provided for managing a plurality of components. The system can comprise a first component having a first operational parameter and a second component having a second operational parameter. The operational parameters of the first and second components can be modified in response to signals regarding the other one of the first and second components. Further, a component of the system can operate with a delay period during which an operational parameter of the component does not change in response to an operational parameter of the other component, but after which the operational parameter of the other component can cause a change in the operational parameter of the component.06-23-2011
20110180172HIGH PRESSURE, HIGH FLOW RATE TUBING ASSEMBLY FOR A POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT PUMP - A tubing assembly is provided that can comprise a plurality of tubes or lumens that can be disposed within a head of a peristaltic pump. The tubing assembly can provide a flow rate or volume capacity that is generally equal to or greater than that achieved with a comparable prior art tube while operating at higher pressures than that possible using the prior art tube. Further, in accordance with some embodiments, the tubing assembly can achieve a longer working life than a comparable prior art tube, and the load on the pump motor can be reduced such that the pump life is increased and/or a larger pump motor is not required to achieve such advantageous results.07-28-2011
