20080279735System for Catalytically Converting Oxygenates and Regenerating and Stripping Catalyst - A system of converting oxygenate-containing feedstock to light olefins comprises charging a reactor with catalyst, feeding the feedstock into the reactor, contacting the feedstock with the catalyst and converting the feedstock to olefins while depositing byproducts on catalyst resulting in spent catalyst, regenerating the spent catalyst by combustion gases, and stripping the regenerated catalyst of gases entrained in the regenerating step. The stripping step is accomplished using nitrogen gas to strip the entrained gases from the regenerate catalyst. In one embodiment, regenerated catalyst is passed through a regenerated catalyst stripper before it is returned to the reactor.11-13-2008
20090030251Use of Olefin Cracking to Produce Alkylate - A process for producing a feedstock for gasolines having very little aromatic concentrations is disclosed. The present process uses by-product olefins and alkanes to produce an alkylate for use in gasoline blending.01-29-2009
20090030252Integration of Olefin Cracking with Metathesis to Increase Light Olefins Production - A process for increasing the propylene yields for hydrocarbon cracking processes. The process includes adding using alkylation of the C4s coming from the hydrocarbon cracker, and passing larger olefins to an olefin cracking unit.01-29-2009
20100034718Moving Bed Catalyst Regeneration Apparatus with Integral CO Oxidation Zone and Method of Use to Accelerate Coke Burning - A combination of moving bed regeneration technology and CO oxidation technology is used in a novel moving bed regeneration apparatus containing an integral CO oxidation zone to solve the problem of regenerating a coke-containing catalyst that does not contain a CO oxidation promoter without generating an effluent flue gas stream containing hazardous and undesired amounts of CO. The CO oxidation zone is located in the flue gas collection zone within the moving bed regeneration apparatus and functions autogenously to eliminate the CO hazard by oxidizing CO to CO02-11-2010
20100055008SCREENLESS INTERNALS FOR RADIAL FLOW REACTORS - An apparatus for contacting a bed of particulate material with a cross flowing fluid, which maintains the bed of particulate material within a retention volume. The apparatus includes partitions for retaining particles, with apertures disposed within the partitions. The apertures are covered by louvers that extend above the edges of the apertures to prevent solid particles from spilling through inlet apertures.03-04-2010
20100152026Layered Sphere Catalysts with High Accessibility Indexes - A process and catalyst for use in the selective hydrogenation of acetylene to ethylene is presented. The catalyst comprises a layered structure, wherein the catalyst has an inner core and an outer layer of active material. The catalyst further includes a metal deposited on the outer layer, and the catalyst is formed such that the catalyst has an accessibility index between 3 and 500.06-17-2010

20100158765SCREENLESS INTERNALS FOR RADIAL FLOW REACTORS - An apparatus for contacting a bed of particulate material with a cross flowing fluid, which maintains the bed of particulate material within a retention volume. The apparatus includes partitions for retaining particles, with apertures disposed within the partitions. The apertures are covered by louvers that extend above the edges of the apertures to prevent solid particles from spilling through inlet apertures.06-24-2010
20100288676FLUID DISTRIBUTION IN RADIAL FLOW REACTORS INCLUDING MOVING BED REACTORS - Apparatuses and methods for contacting radially flowing fluids with a solid particulate (e.g., catalyst) with reduced tendency to form fluid jets that impinge on the solid particulate, leading to solid attrition and plugging, are described. Representative particle retention devices for use in these apparatuses and methods have flow channels passing therethrough, from a first surface to an opposing second surface that is adjacent to a particle retention zone. Widths of the flow channels at this opposing second surface will exceed their smallest flow channel widths.11-18-2010
20110118516Use of Olefin Cracking to Produce Alkylate - A process for producing a feedstock for gasolines having very little aromatic concentrations is disclosed. The present process uses by-product olefins and alkanes to produce an alkylate for use in gasoline blending.05-19-2011
20110143919OCP Catalyst With Improved Steam Tolerance - A catalyst is present for use in an olefin cracking process. The catalyst is a zeolite that has been loaded with an alkaline earth metal. The alkaline earth metal loaded catalyst has an increased steaming tolerance and increases the useful life of the catalyst during the cracking process and the regeneration cycle.06-16-2011
