| 20110258361 | PETAFLOPS ROUTER - Disclosed is a method and system for performing operations on at least one input data vector in order to produce at least one output vector to permit easy, scalable and fast programming of a petascale equivalent supercomputer. A PetaFlops Router may comprise one or more PetaFlops Nodes, which may be connected to each other and/or external data provider/consumers via a programmable crossbar switch external to the PetaFlops Node. Each PetaFlops Node has a FPGA and a programmable intra-FPGA crossbar switch that permits input and output variables to be configurably connected to various physical operators contained in the FPGA as desired by a user. This allows a user to specify the instruction set of the system on a per-application basis. Further, the intra-FPGA crossbar switch permits the output of one operation to be delivered as an input to a second operation. By configuring the external crossbar switch, the output of a first operation on a first PetaFlops Node may be used as the input for a second operation on a second PetaFlops Node. An embodiment may provide an ability for the system to recognize and generate pipelined functions. Streaming operators may be connected together at run-time and appropriately staged to allow data to flow through a series of functions. This allows the system to provide high throughput and parallelism when possible. The PetaFlops Router may implement the user desired instructions by appropriately configuring the intra-FPGA crossbar switch on each PetaFlops Node and the external crossbar switch. | 10-20-2011 |

| 20100185651 | RETRIEVING AND DISPLAYING INFORMATION FROM AN UNSTRUCTURED ELECTRONIC DOCUMENT COLLECTION - Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on computer storage media, for retrieval and display of information from an unstructured electronic document collection. One aspect can be embodied in machine-implemented methods that include the actions of receiving a machine-readable search query from a user and responding to the search query with instructions for presenting the user with a structured presentation of instances relevant to the search query. A visual presentation of the structured presentation denotes associations between the instances and values that characterize attributes of the instances by virtue of an arrangement of identifiers of the instances and the values. | 07-22-2010 |
| 20100185666 | ACCESSING A SEARCH INTERFACE IN A STRUCTURED PRESENTATION - Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs stored on computer storage media, for accessing a search interface from a structured presentation. One aspect can be embodied in machine-implemented methods that include the actions of displaying a structured presentation on a display device, receiving data characterizing a user interaction with the displayed structured presentation, the data including a specification of a first instance and a first attribute of the structured presentation, and displaying a formerly concealed search interface on the display device in response to receiving the data. | 07-22-2010 |
| 20110106819 | IDENTIFYING A GROUP OF RELATED INSTANCES - Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for identifying a group of related instance identifiers. In one aspect, a computer storage medium is encoded with a computer program. The program comprises instructions that when executed by data processing apparatus cause the data processing apparatus to perform operations. The operations include receiving a search query at a data processing apparatus, the search query specifying attributes shared by a group of related instances, searching an electronic document collection to identify instance identifiers that are responsive to the search query, representing features of the instance identifiers in a vertex-edge graph, and scoring relevance of the instance identifiers to the search query according to the features represented in the vertex-edge graph. | 05-05-2011 |
