20100329545METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRAINING CLASSIFICATION AND EXTRACTION ENGINE IN AN IMAGING SOLUTION - A method and system for automatically training a document imaging classification and extraction system that switches between a manual mode and an automatic mode based on constant monitoring. A specialized sub-system monitors and records a user interaction with the classification system during the initial manual mode and, in parallel, develops and tests a user configuration with respect to an automated processing engine. The system is capable of being shifted to the automatic mode if a desired acceptability threshold is attained and the document can then be processed automatically. Furthermore, a user can interact with the classification system if the automatic mode fails. Information concerning exception handling can be entered into a training database for continual refinement of the classification and extraction system.12-30-2010

20100027045FINGERPRINT SCAN ORDER SEQUENCE TO CONFIGURE A PRINT SYSTEM DEVICE - What is disclosed is a system and method for capturing fingerprint data in an ordered sequence and using the captured sequence to configure a complex multi-function print system device to a set of device specific settings to perform intended workflow processes. Each finger has a unique associated code. A code sequence is associated with each stored set of settings. A user desiring to configure the device scans their fingerprints in a predefined ordered sequence. Settings associated with the entered sequence are retrieved and displayed for user approval. Thereafter, the complex print system device can be easily configured to the displayed settings. Other embodiments are additionally disclosed.02-04-2010
20100097626METHOD AND MULTI-FUNCTION MACHINE HAVING THE CAPABILITY OF DISPLAYING COMMERCIAL CONTENT - A method and a multi-function machine are provided for displaying commercial content and advertisements on the display screen when it is idle. The multi-function machine is of the type having the capability of scanning, copying and electronically transmitting documents. In particular, the multi-function machine includes a scanning assembly; a printer; a display; and a display content management module for managing commercial content received via at least one network connection for displaying by said display; and at least one processor configured to control said display to display said commercial content received via the at least one network connection and managed by said display content management module.04-22-2010
20100132050APPARATUS, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR ENFORCING POLICY REQUIREMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH A SERVICE - A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions including instructions that when executed by a processor enable a service provider to track and enforce policy requirements associated with a provided service of the service provider. The application software configured to provide notification of the policy requirements and to trigger an intentional degradation of the provided service as a function of time when a user fails to comply with at least one of the policy requirements.05-27-2010
20100214594METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTOMATICALLY GENERATING A COPY OF A PRINT STREAM - A method and system for processing a print stream are provided. The methodology includes generating at least one copy of the print stream and transmitting a first copy of the at least one copy of the print stream to a sub-system of said computer system. The methodology further includes transmitting a second copy of the at least one copy of the print stream to a print driver and processing the second copy of the printer stream by the designated print driver. The methodology further includes transmitting the processed second copy to the at least one printer for generating a printout corresponding to the print stream.08-26-2010
20100235305SYSTEM AND METHOD OF ON-DEMAND DOCUMENT PROCESSING - A document processing method includes receiving, at a server with a network interface, electronic documents from a user. The server includes a software application adapted to recognize a class of electronic documents to which the electronic documents belong. The method also includes processing the electronic documents received from the user to extract data therefrom based on a recognition that the electronic documents belong to the class of electronic documents. The extracted data corresponds to a service being provided to the user. The method also includes automatically mapping the extracted data from the processed electronic documents to a data repository on the server. The data repository is accessible by the user through the network interface. The method also includes electronically generating output data based on the mapped data from the data repository to the user. The output data corresponds to the service being provided to the user.09-16-2010

20080239343AUTOMATIC CONVERSION OF FULL COLOR IMAGES TO HIGHLIGHT COLOR IMAGES - A device and method for converting a multi-bit full color input image into a highlight color format for output on a highlight color image output terminal. The method and device analyze each pixel block on a block-by-block basis and assign each block to one of highlight color and non-highlight color. Each color is processed as a separate image file and can be combined after processing into a mixed raster file for output. At least the highlight color image portion can be converted to a single-bit file to reduce processing constraints.10-02-2008
