IDENTIFICATION OF UNDERCODED COMORBIDITIES - A method for identifying under-coded comorbidities is provided. The method comprises the step of receiving a billing entry which includes a first diagnosis corresponding to a predetermined diagnostic related group. The method further comprises the step of determining whether the billing entry includes a second diagnosis corresponding to the predetermined diagnostic related group. The method further comprises the step of, if the billing entry is determined not to include the second diagnosis, reviewing laboratory information corresponding to the billing entry to determine whether the laboratory information includes test data indicating the second diagnosis. The method further comprises the step of, if the laboratory information is determined to include test data indicating the second diagnosis, generating an alert corresponding to the billing entry and the second diagnosis. | 04-16-2009
USE OF CLINICAL LABORATORY DATA TO IDENTIFY INPATIENT HOSPITAL COMPLICATIONS - Described herein are systems and methods for identification of complications by identifying physiological changes associated with these complications that are reflected in laboratory results. In some embodiments, systems and methods are described for identifying trends in the laboratory data over time and associating those trends with degrees of risk or complication factors that are established through retroactive analysis of similar laboratory data across a plurality of care facilities or patient groups. In some embodiments, a benchmark may be established, based on laboratory results, against which care facilities can retrospectively compare patient outcomes within their own facility or among various patient groups. | 01-28-2010

Electrical connector with ferrite block assembly - A filtering ferrite block assembly for squib system electrical conductors including a first ferrite block including first conductor channels; and a second ferrite block including second conductor channels. The second ferrite block is adapted to be connected to the first ferrite block with portions of the electrical conductors therebetween. The electrical conductors extend through the first and second conductor channels between the two ferrite blocks. | 09-25-2008
Low profile shorting bar for electrical connector - Disclosed herein is an electrical connector. The electrical connector includes a housing, at least two male contacts, and a shorting member. The at least two male contacts are mounted within the housing. The shorting member is connected to the housing. The shorting member includes a single loop section and an aperture. The single loop section is adapted to contact the at least two male contacts when the electrical connector is disengaged from a mating electrical connector. The single loop section is adapted to be spaced from the at least two male contacts when the electrical connector is engaged with the mating electrical connector. The at least two male contacts extend through the aperture. | 01-01-2009
Electrical connector - An electrical connector sub-assembly including a housing having at least one electrical contact receiving area configured to receive an electrical contact; and a terminal position assurance (TPA) member located on a front section of the housing. The TPA member is laterally movable on the front section between an unlocked position and a locked position. The TPA member comprises two spaced sections configured to lock the electrical contact in the electrical contact receiving area at two spaced locations when the TPA member is moved to the locked position. This prevents unintentional withdrawal of the electrical contact from the electrical contact receiving area. | 07-23-2009

Bathtub Liner Overflow Gasket - An overflow gasket for a bathtub and a bathtub liner is disclosed. The bathtub and the bathtub liner are each of the type having an overflow drain in liquid communication with a substantially vertical overflow drain pipe. The gasket of the invention comprises a generally annular, hollow tube defined by a wall. The hollow tube further includes a first end and a second end which each terminate in a circular opening, the first end including a radially-extending circular lip. A longitudinal axis of the tube forms a downward-oriented arc. A circular bracket is included that has a front side, a rear side, and at least one peripheral edge. The rear side is fixed against and substantially overlaps a front side of the lip of the first end of the tube. A circular aperture is formed therein and is generally coaxially aligned with the longitudinal axis of the first end of the tube. A cross-beam is formed across a diameter of the circular aperture and includes a threaded screw aperture for accepting a mounting screw of a cover plate. With the tube inserted through the apertures of the bathtub liner and the bathtub, a rear side of the circular lip may be fixed against the bathtub liner to form a water-tight seal. Mechanical fasteners secure the bracket and hollow tube to the liner and tub. As such, water entering the first end of the tube is conveyed by gravity directly into the overflow drain pipe. | 09-11-2008
