20090278470 | COLOR NAVIGATION SYSTEM - A system and method for color navigation through a CIELAB color space with coordinates hue (H), lightness (L), chroma (C), with intervals ΔH, ΔL, ΔC such that the perceptual color difference AE1Nv, defined according to the formula: AZW=̂{AL)2+{fc(H)−ACf+[AH)2, is constant for steps in direction C and L and for steps in direction H along boundary of color space. fc(H) is a proportionality factor between 0 and 1 depending on hue. For hue values between red (H | 11-12-2009 |

20120101556 | COLOR LIGHTING SYSTEM TO INFLUENCE PERCEPTION OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE - A basic idea of the invention is to categorize color of light into groups on the basis of dominant wavelength. After the colors have been categorized into different groups, a particular group of colors may be selected on the basis of a predetermined criterion, one criterion being that an individual is to perceive the ambient temperature as higher than it actually is, while another criterion may be that the individual is to perceive the ambient temperature as lower than it actually is. Thereafter, a control signal is generated for controlling the dominant wavelength of light emitted from at least one light source in accordance with the selected group of colors. Finally, the generated control signal is transmitted to the light source(s) to be controlled, for emitting light of the selected group of colors, thereby influencing the thermoregulation of an individual being exposed to the light of the selected group of colors on the basis of the predetermined criterion. The present invention is advantageous, in that colored lighting is employed for changing an individual's perception of ambient temperature, which enables energy savings for heating and air conditioning systems. Using a lighting control device for varying color of light results in a flexible solution since the device easily facilitates changing to an environment that is perceived as warmer or as cooler than the actual room temperature. | 04-26-2012 |

20140265872 | Device for generating light with a variable color - An illumination system and method is disclosed. In one example, the illumination system comprises a lamp assembly for generating color-variable light, a controller for generating control signals for the lamp assembly, source color input means, preferably a color sensor, for inputting to the controller information defining a source color; a memory associated with the controller, containing information defining at least one color harmony rule. On the basis of the input source color, and using the harmony rule from the memory, the controller calculates a target color and generates its output control signals accordingly. Thus, the light output from the lamp assembly harmoniously matches the measured color of surroundings or objects. | 09-18-2014 |
20140288359 | COLOR LIGHTING SYSTEM TO INFLUENCE PERCEPTION OF AMBIENT TEMPERATURE - A lighting control device for influencing thermoregulation of a vertebrate is disclosed. In one example, the lighting control device configured to select, on the basis of a predetermined criterion, a particular group of colors of groups having been categorized into groups on the basis of dominant wavelength, where each group of colors is arranged to influence a vertebrate's thermoregulation in a particular manner, and configured to generate a control signal for controlling the dominant wavelength of light emitted from at least one light source in accordance with the selected group of colors. The lighting control device is configured to transmit the generated control signal to said at least one light source for said at least one light source to emit light of the selected group of colors, thereby influencing the thermoregulation of the vertebrate being exposed to the light on the basis of said predetermined criterion. | 09-25-2014 |
