20100265742SWITCHING REGULATOR WITH FREQUENCY LIMITATION AND METHOD THEREOF - The present invention provides a switching regulator with frequency limitation and method thereof. The switching frequency of the switching regulator is limited through setting of a minimum off time, so as to improve the efficiency and EMI distribution of the switching regulator.10-21-2010
20100302816SWITCHING MODE POWER SUPPLY WITH A SPECTRUM SHAPING CIRCUIT - In accordance with the teachings described herein, systems and methods are provided for a switching mode power supply. In one example, the switching mode power supply may include a transformer, a switching circuit and a switching control circuit. The transformer receives a DC input voltage on a primary winding and generates a DC output voltage on a secondary winding. The switching circuit, which may include a MOSFET switch, is coupled to the transformer and is configured to switch the transformer on and off. The switching control circuit generates a switching control signal to control the switching circuit in order to regulate the DC output voltage of the transformer. The switching control circuit is configured to generate the switching control signal as a function of a timing signal having a varying frequency, wherein the varying frequency of the timing signal causes a switching frequency of the switching circuit to vary over a period of time in order to reduce electromagnetic interference caused by the switching circuit.12-02-2010
20110002068SWITCHING REGULATOR WITH FAULT PROTECTION AND METHOD THEREOF - A switching regulator with fault protection and method thereof. The switching regulator comprises a switching circuit, a control circuit, a fault detection circuit and a fault timer. The fault detection circuit is electrically coupled to the switching circuit to detect whether a fault condition exists and generate a fault signal accordingly. The fault timer starts to time once the fault signal becomes valid, and is reset when the fault signal becomes invalid. If the fault time reaches a first time threshold, the control circuit is disabled, and the switch in the switching circuit is turned off.01-06-2011
20110007526FREQUENCY LIMITATION METHOD WITH TIME HYSTERESIS USED IN QUASI-RESONANT CONTROL - A frequency limitation method used in quasi-resonant control of a switching regulator is disclosed. The switching frequency is limited through setting a minimum time limit, such as a minimum switching period or a minimum OFF time. The minimum time limit may be a first time limit or a second time limit. The minimum time limit is changed into another value if the minimum voltage point approaches the minimum time limit point, so as to eliminate the audible noise.01-13-2011
20110227497POWER SYSTEMS FOR DRIVING LIGHT EMITTING DIODES AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF CONTROL - Embodiments of LED driver circuits and the associated methods are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the LED driver circuit comprises a switch-mode converter, a controller, a feedback circuit, and a gating circuit. The feedback circuit includes a current balance circuit. The gating circuit is responsive to both a current feedback signal and a voltage feedback signal and is configured to select one of them as the feedback signal.09-22-2011

20100243774SHREDDER WITH JAM PROOF SYSTEM - A shredder is disclosed having a jam proof system. In one embodiment, the jam proof system provides a thickness detector having a contact member which displaces as an article is inserted into a throat of the shredder and a resistance generating mechanism configured to provide a resistance force to the contact member, in response to displacement of the contact member. The greater the thickness of the material the greater the resistance force that will be realized. When the material reaches a predetermined thickness, there will be a significant change in the resistance force. The resistance generating mechanism may include at least two spring mechanisms serially arranged, such as, a first spring mechanism and a second spring mechanism. This feature provides immediate and direct feedback to the user that the article inserted into the shredder may be too thick. In addition, the thickness detector may include a sensor, and in particular, a Hall effect sensor assembly configured to measure the thickness of the article inserted into the throat. The sensor may communicate with a controller that is configured to alert the user, and/or alter the operation of the shredder, in response to the thickness of the material. For example, the controller may visually and/or audibly alert the user, or control the shredder motor response.09-30-2010

20100103835SCHEDULER AND SCHEDULING METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA IN MIMO BASED WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM - A scheduler and scheduling method that may select a data transmission time interval and a data transmitting station are included in a multi-user Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) communication system. An access point may include a receiver to receive channel measurement signals from stations using a plurality of receive antennas; a channel estimation unit to generate channel state matrices with respect to wireless channels formed from the stations to the receive antennas using the channel measurement signals; and a scheduler to select at least one transmitting station from the stations by considering the channel state matrices and a number of the receive antennas. The receiver may receive a data stream from the selected transmitting stations. Stations receive identifiers corresponding to transmitting stations and/or transmitting antennas to identify stations or antennas for transmitting data streams to the access point.04-29-2010
20100103913APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING CONTENTION WINDOW SIZE IN MULTI USER MIMO BASED WIRELESS LAN SYSTEM - A Multiple-Input Multiple-Output data transmission system includes access stations and an access point having multiple receive antennas. An access point has a minimum contention window size decision unit to determine a minimum contention window size based on the number of receive antennas and a number of access stations, a broadcasting unit to broadcast the determined minimum contention window size to the access stations, and a receiver to receive data from the access stations in a contention window that is calculated based on the minimum contention window size. An access station receives the minimum contention window size from the access point, determines a first contention window size based on the minimum contention window size, and transmits data to the access point within the first contention window. If the transmission fails, the access station determines a second contention window size and retransmits the data in the second contention window.04-29-2010
