INHALABLE DRUG - A process for preparation of particles of an inhalable drug is described. The process comprises combining a first liquid and a second liquid in a region of high shear, whereby the first liquid and the second liquid interact to form the particles of the drug. One of the first and second liquids comprises the drug or a precursor thereof. In the case where one of the liquids comprises the precursor, the other of the first and second liquids comprises a reagent which reacts with the precursor under high shear conditions to form particles of the drug. In the case where one of the liquids comprises the drug, the other of the first and second liquids comprises a liquid which, when mixed with the liquid containing the drug under high shear, forms particles of the drug. | 07-23-2009
METHOD FOR SYNTHESIS OF BUTYL RUBBER - This invention puts forward a process of preparing butyl rubber. High gravity devices are used as polymerization reactor. The mixture of isomonoolefin and conjugated diolefin monomers and the diluent, and the mixture of the initiator and diluent are pumped at a certain ratio into a high-gravity reactor to conduct cationic polymerization in the high-gravity environment. After polymerization, the monomers and the diluent are removed from the product to obtain butyl rubber polymers with number-average molecular weight of 80000˜300000 and molecular weight distribution index of 1.9˜3.6. The high gravity polymerization method of this invention can tremendously intensify micro-mixing, mass transfer and heat transfer in the reaction. Compared to the conventional stirred polymerization method, this invention features small reactor volume, at least 30-fold shorter residence time of substances in the high gravity reactor, low cost, low energy consumption and high production efficiency. | 11-19-2009
Method and apparatus for reporting state information - A method for reporting state information is provided. The receiver device receives a service, which is encoded in at least two layers over a communication channel, through a subset of said at least two layers; it measures a channel quality parameter; and in response to the channel quality parameter reaching a predetermined threshold value, it receives the service through a modified subset of the at least two layers as a function of the measured channel quality parameter and transmitting state information of the receiver device. Thus, the signal overhead is reduced. | 12-31-2009
Method and device for determining channel quality - It is provided a method for determining channel quality for a second channel, wherein, the second channel is overlapping with a first channel, the method comprising the steps of sending a request message through the first channel; receiving a response message on the second channel in response to the request message through the first channel; and determining the channel quality of the second channel based on the response message on the second channel. It can be used to determine the channel quality of at least one channel by sending a single message through the first channel. | 06-24-2010
Method for scheduling wake/sleep cycles by a central device in a wireless network - A method for scheduling wake/sleep cycles by a central device in a wireless network is provided. The wireless network comprises at least one mobile device. The method comprises: attributing a wake/sleep cycle length to each mobile device, wherein the wake/sleep cycle length is an integer multiple of a system schedule cycle; assigning a sleep period and a wake period within the wake/sleep cycle of each mobile device; and arranging the wake/sleep cycle of each mobile device to avoid collision of the wake period with those of other mobile devices. The present invention can keep the maximum sleep cycle period of each MS to guarantee the QoS requirement and to efficiently utilize the system bandwidth. | 10-21-2010
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AN IMAGE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK - A wireless transmission scheme for transmitting images utilizing a cross layer method integrated the slice allocation and multiple modulation and coding modes selection without the need of feedback channel. The scheme divides a coded image into isolated coded slices, wherein each slice represents a region of the image and each slice is then modulated using modulation schemes of differing robustness. Data of most interest is received by all receivers, with some receivers receiving more data in areas with good channel conditions. | 12-23-2010
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING A SERVICE - A method for providing a service comprising a plurality of coding layers in a communication network is provided, and wherein each one of said plurality of layers is associated with a unique identifier, the method uses a single message containing necessary information for a receiver to derive all identifiers for several layers within a single service; the method allows to reduce the messages exchange in such a communication system. | 01-06-2011
METHOD FOR RECEIVING AND TRANSMITTING DATA BLOCKS - The present invention provides a scalable and reliable feedback suppression method for receiving and transmitting data block. The method comprises receiving at least one initial data packet of the data block which is sent by the transmitter to the multicast group of receivers; and sending at least one NAK packet indicating packet loss to the transmitter by at least one receiver of the multicast group, wherein the at least one NAK packet is sent in a single uplink time slot dedicated to said multicast group of receivers, and wherein the NAK packet is identical for all receivers of said multicast group. | 10-27-2011
