20120024872PAINT CAN EXTENDER - This invention relates to a device having a generally cylindrical main body defining an inner channel extending therethrough, a first connection member proximate one end of the device and a second connection member proximate the first connection member. The connection members are formed as annularly cantilevered snap-fit connectors, with each connection member sized to fit a particular opening in a container. Once engaged with the container, the contents may be poured through the inner channel and out through a pour spout formed distally from the connection members. An annular ring is disposed between each connection member and thereby defines an upper shoulder on the first connection member and a lower shoulder on the second connection member.02-02-2012

20100090288METHOD OF FORMING SOURCE AND DRAIN OF A FIELD-EFFECT-TRANSISTOR AND STRUCTURE THEREOF - A semiconductor fabrication method involving the use of eSiGe is disclosed. The eSiGe approach is useful for applying the desired stresses to the channel region of a field effect transistor, but also can introduce complications into the semiconductor fabrication process. Embodiments of the present invention disclose a two-step fabrication process in which a first layer of eSiGe is applied using a low hydrogen flow rate, and a second eSiGe layer is applied using a higher hydrogen flow rate. This method provides a way to balance the tradeoff of morphology, and fill consistency when using eSiGe. Embodiments of the present invention promote a pinned morphology, which reduces device sensitivity to epitaxial thickness, while also providing a more consistent fill volume, amongst various device widths, thereby providing a more consistent eSiGe semiconductor fabrication process.04-15-2010

20090222179DYNAMIC LEARNING OF SOLENOID P-I CURVES FOR CLOSED LOOP PRESSURE CONTROLS - In a pressure control system having a solenoid-operated fluid valve that has an output hydraulic pressure which varies in accordance with a solenoid input signal, a dynamic learning block is configured to adjust the initial, default values for control points stored in a pressure-current (P-I) data table based on observed (measured) operating points that reflect the solenoid's actual transfer characteristic. A feed forward control block is configured to generate the solenoid input signal having a level based on the adjusted control points in the data table, which improves the accuracy of the solenoid input signal. An adjustment method uses a plurality of circular buffers each configured to store observed operating points falling within a respective range, and provides a mechanism to allow adjustment of the control points based on only partial data.09-03-2009

20100026529Secure keypad scanning - A secure key scanning functionality drives the row lines and column lines of a key switch array with randomized pulses of different polarities, and drives signals in one direction from a row line through a pressed key and to a column line as well as in an opposite direction from the column line through the pressed key and to the row line. To make unauthorized detecting of key presses more difficult, row lines and column lines are driven with pulses that appear as actual key press conditions when in fact the pulses are dummy pulses and no corresponding key has been pressed. In one novel aspect, dummy pulses are generated so that the line being driven with the dummy pulses has the same sustained and consistent waveform as the intersecting row and column lines that have identical waveforms due to the actual key press.02-04-2010

20090318636Epoxy resins adducted with reactive liquid rubber having improved low temperature performance properties - A blend of epoxy resins includes a) an epoxy resin composition derived from the reaction of a liquid epoxy resin, a carboxyl terminated butadiene (CTB), and a carboxyl terminated polybutadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBN) and/or a random and terminal carboxyl functional polybutadiene-acrylonitrile (CTBNX), and b) unreacted epoxy resin. The carboxyl terminated butadiene is miscible with the unreacted epoxy resin and does not separate therefrom even upon aging. Upon cure as with a latent cure agent, a toughened epoxy resin is produced having unexpected good low temperature properties such as peel strength.12-24-2009

20100138683POWER CONTROL UNIT WITH DIGITALLY SUPPLIED SYSTEM PARAMETERS - Methods and apparatuses provide voltage regulation for a processor. Control or configuration parameters for a voltage regulator (VR) are provided digitally over a configuration bus to a VR controller. The parameters may be provided directly from a storage element, or via a processing element or processor core. Based in whole or in part on the parameters, the VR controller provides an output control signal to affect a power output from a power converter to the processing element. In one embodiment, the VR controller is integrated onto the same IC as the processing element.06-03-2010
20110154090Controlling Time Stamp Counter (TSC) Offsets For Mulitple Cores And Threads - In one embodiment, the present invention includes a method for recording a time stamp counter (TSC) value of a first TSC counter of a processor before a system suspension, accessing the stored TSC value after the system suspension, and directly updating a thread offset value associated with a first thread executing on a first core of the processor with the stored TSC value, without performing a synchronization between a plurality of cores of the processor. Other embodiments are described and claimed.06-23-2011

20080246303MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT FOR MOUNTING CLADDING TO VEHICLE BODY - A mounting arrangement for securing a cladding to a vehicle body includes a vehicle body defining at least one aperture and a cladding having a body portion and at least one interval attachment structure extending from the body portion. The attachment structure includes a retaining portion received through the at least one aperture for securing the body portion to the vehicle body and a plurality of spaced apart ribs connecting the retaining portion to the body portion.10-09-2008
20080251667SYSTEM FOR ATTACHING COMPONENTS TO A VEHICLE - A system for attaching a component to a substrate, such as a vehicle. The system comprises a bracket. At least one fastener is coupled to the bracket and is engageable to the vehicle. A component is assembled to the bracket such that a lip of the component contacts a tab of the bracket, and the bracket at least partially engages a gap defined by the lip and an interior surface of the component. The component is attached to the vehicle when the fastener is engaged with the vehicle. A method employs the system.10-16-2008

20100234191PORTABLE EXERCISE APPARATUS - An apparatus for treating or training individuals while doing exercises permits a large range of motion while at the same time providing resistance. A hollow spherical housing having a spool and a cord inside is mounted within a support frame which permits the housing to rotate 360 degrees about a central z-axis and further about 120 degrees about the x-axis and the y-axis when the cord contacts the frame. A tension dial permits adjusting the tension applied to the spool to provide resistance as a user pulls the cord from the housing. When the user releases the force on the cord the cord is retracted onto the spool. The base of the support frame has opposing locking lugs which engage keyways in a co-operating socket which can be mounted on a variety of surfaces such as walls, doors and straps for attachment to a wrist or ankle or other body part.09-16-2010
