20100226204MARINE SEISMIC SURVEYING IN ICY OR OBSTRUCTED WATERS - A skeg mounts from the stern of a towing vessel and extends below the waterline. A channel in the skeg protects cables for steamers and a source of a seismic system deployed from the vessel. Tow points on the skeg lie below the water's surface and connect to towlines to support the steamers and source. A floatation device supports the source and tows below the water's surface to avoid ice floes. The streamers can have vehicles deployed thereon for controlling a position on the streamer. To facilitate locating the streamers, these vehicles on the streamers can be brought to the surface when clear of ice floes so that GPS readings can be obtained and communicated to a control system. After obtaining readings, the vehicles can be floated back under the surface. Deploying, using, and retrieving the system accounts for ice at the surface in icy regions. In addition, handling the seismic record can account for noise generated by ice impact events.09-09-2010

20080265962SCANNABLE FLIP-FLOP WITH NON-VOLATILE STORAGE ELEMENT AND METHOD - A circuit has a master latch having an input for receiving an input data signal, and an output. A slave latch has a first input coupled to the output of the master latch, and an output for providing an output data signal. A non-volatile storage element stores a predetermined value. The non-volatile storage element has an output coupled to the first input of the slave latch. The output data signal corresponds to one of either the input data signal or the predetermined value stored by the non-volatile storage element in response to a control signal.10-30-2008

20080320296METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SECURE REMOTE MOBILE PRINTING - Systems and methods for for secure, remote printing includes a mobile device (e.g., cell phone or PDA) establishing a secure communication connection with a mobile printer and a server, such a connection using one or more encryption protocols (e.g., SSL, TLS, etc.). The server encrypts the requested data and transmits it to the printer via the secure connection, whereon the printer decrypts and prints the data. The mobile device can, according to other aspects of the invention, logs operational performance characteristic of the printer, the server, and/or the communication connections therebetween. A media cartridge can be provided includes an enclosure having a substantially planar shape, wherein each of its length and width dimensions are greater than its height. An opening is disposed along a width-wise edge (e.g., a “front” of the enclosure), and one or more regions are also disposed on opposing length-wise edges (e.g., a “left side” and a “right side” of the enclosure). The regions permit a user to see and/or exert a force on sheet media (e.g., paper) contained within the enclosure.12-25-2008

20090188112SHAVING RAZOR WITH MODULAR BLADE PAIRS - A shaving razor cartridge having a platform with a front edge and a back edge and a pair of opposing side edges; and a plurality of main blades, each having a shaving edge, attached to the platform in a stacked fashion such that the shaving edge of each of the main blades faces the front edge of the platform. The main blades are arranged in a plurality of modular pairs, each modular pair having a rigid spacer separating the blades, and each modular pair of blades is separately attached to the platform.07-30-2009
20090235539SHAVING SYSTEM - A shaving system having replaceable blade cartridges is provided with a simple connector for pivotably mounting the cartridge, and for attaching to a handle with a simple latch mechanism. Embodiments include a handle having a handle body, and a connector mounting portion at the front of the handle body with a substantially horizontal bottom wall and an inwardly-extending, elastically deformable cantilever latch. The connector has a cartridge mounting structure, and a handle attachment portion extending rearward from a central body. The handle attachment portion has an extension for slidingly mating with the bottom wall of the handle's connector mounting portion, and a substantially vertical connector wall for engaging and deflecting the cantilever latch upward as the extension is slidingly engaged with the bottom wall, until an engagement portion of the cantilever latch snaps over the connector wall to removably retain the connector on the handle between bottom wall of the handle connector mounting portion and the cantilever latch.09-24-2009
20100071215TRIMMER FOR SHAVING RAZOR - A trimmer for a shaving razor comprises a blade having a cutting edge. A plurality of teeth are located on one side of said blade at the cutting edge. On a second side of the blade opposite the plurality of teeth are a plurality of ribs located at the cutting edge. Each of the teeth are aligned with the ribs in a direction perpendicular to the blade. Alternatively, the teeth and ribs are spaced alternating along the cutting edge of the blade. The number of teeth are equal to or alternatively, not equal to the number of ribs.03-25-2010
