20110289459Orbital Representation of Hierarchical Navigation - Hierarchical structures are visualized and navigated using an orbital model. Sibling nodes are orbitally displayed in a generally circular arrangement along an orbital path. Choosing one of the orbitally displayed nodes opens it, moving down in the hierarchy. Nodes which were not chosen are undisplayed, and child node(s) of the chosen node are orbitally displayed. Node movements may be animated. A history displays recently chosen nodes. Choosing a parent node of the orbiting nodes undisplays the child nodes, and the parent node and its siblings are orbitally displayed, thereby moving up in the hierarchy. A user may select nodes from different parts of the hierarchy by moving them into a selection tray. Selected nodes can then be subjected to a specified batch operation. Controls are available for sorting nodes and/or for altering node appearance in the display.11-24-2011

20110126151IN-LANE EXCEPTION HANDLING - This disclosure describes, generally, methods and systems for implementing in-lane exception handling. The method includes displaying, on a user terminal display device, a first user interface (UI) configured to display application data in organized rows and columns, receiving, by a data management system, updates and/or edits to the application data, and calculating, by the data management system, the updated and/or edited application data. The method further includes analyzing, by the data management system, the updates and/or edits to determine one or more of associated errors, warnings, and exceptions, and displaying, within the first UI, a graphical representation for each of the errors, warnings, and exceptions in the row and/or column of the application data where the error, warning, or exception has occurred.05-26-2011

20110131379PROCESSOR AND METHOD FOR WRITEBACK BUFFER REUSE - A processor may include a writeback configured to perform a first writeback operation to store corresponding writeback data back to a lower-level memory upon eviction of the writeback data, and a writeback buffer configured to store the writeback data after the writeback data has been evicted from the writeback cache and before the writeback data has been sent to the lower-level memory. After the writeback data has been sent from the writeback buffer to the lower-level memory, and before the lower-level memory has acknowledged completion of the first writeback operation, the writeback cache may perform a second writeback operation to store different writeback data in the writeback buffer in response to eviction of the different writeback data, such that a total size of the writeback data for the concurrently outstanding writeback operations exceeds a total size of writeback data that the writeback buffer is capable of concurrently storing.06-02-2011

20120090599SOLAR WINDOW HEATER - A solar heating system for heating air beside a window is disclosed. The solar heating system effectively heats air beside a window in a room of a structure through use of one or more solar panels positioned to be heated by the sun and to transfer that heat to surrounding air via convection in moving air. In at least one embodiment, the solar panel may be a corrugated panel having at least one channel. The solar panel may be positioned such that as the solar panel is heated by the sun, heat is transferred from the solar panel to surrounding air via convection. The solar panel may be configured such that an upward flow of air forms when the air is heated, thereby creating a natural, warm air flow without need of a fan or other such device.04-19-2012
