20080307930Wrap around tong and method - A wrap around tong system is provided with a rotary drive tong and backup tong that remain positioned around the pipe string as the pipe string is run into or out of the wellbore. The tong system is affixed to the drill floor and does not rotate or move laterally to the pipe string. The power tong system is moved upwardly and downwardly to position the rotary drive tong and backup tong at appropriate postions on the pipe string. The rotary drive tong provides both spinning and torquing for making or breaking connnections.12-18-2008
20090126941TUBULAR CONTROL APPARATUS - A control apparatus to receive a tubular member includes a contact member configured to engage the tubular member, and a control mechanism operably coupled to the contact member, wherein the control mechanism is configured to dampen movement of at least one of the tubular member and the contact member as the tubular member engages the contact member.05-21-2009
20100213706THREADLESS DRILLPIPE CONNECTOR - A threadless tubular connector includes a first component having a first tubular axis defined therethrough and configured to engage a second component having a second tubular axis defined therethrough, and a retaining member configured to maintain an alignment of the first tubular axis with the second tubular axis.08-26-2010
20100252279Reduced Drag Centralizer - An apparatus according to one or more aspects of the present disclosure comprises at least two centralizers, each centralizer having a circumferential stand-off portion and a second circumferential portion defining 360 degrees, at least two bows extending between opposing collars within the stand-off circumferential portion; wherein the at least two centralizers are spaced axially apart and fixedly attached to the tubular with the respective circumferential stand-off portions angularly offset from one another to provide 360 degrees of standoff. According to one or more aspects of the present disclosure, one or both of the collars of each centralizer may be rotationally stationary relative to the tubular and axially moveable relative to the tubular.10-07-2010
20110198090Device and Method for Affecting the Flow of Fluid in a Wellbore - An apparatus to alter the flow of a fluid (e.g., drilling fluid, mud, cement, etc.) in a wellbore for example by creating turbulence in the flowing fluid. In one embodiment the apparatus includes a plurality of blade members extending outward from an elongated member. The elongated member is attached to the exterior surface of a tubular that is then positioned in a wellbore. The apparatus passively altering the flow of a fluid in the wellbore.08-18-2011

20110112332PROCESS FOR INCREASING THE COALESCENCE RATE FOR AMINE-INITIATED POLYETHERS - Disclosed is an improvement to a polyether preparation process that includes a coalescing step. Amine-initiated polyethers prepared using a mixed alkylene oxide feed tend to coalesce significantly more slowly than glycerin-initiated polyethers, particularly in processes that include a holding step and/or elevated temperature following an initial alkoxylation to form a pre-polymer. This improvement is to perform a remedial end-capping of the pre-polymer, which may include amine degradation products, using an alkylene oxide which contains at least (3) carbons, prior to the molecular weight-building alkoxylation with the mixed alkylene oxide feed. The rate and performance of coalescing thereafter may be substantially enhanced.05-12-2011

20090093743Versatile back treatment implement system - The invention pertains to a versatile back treatment implement system that consists of different implements that can be interchangeably used. Any one of the implements can be a lotion applying implement, a brush implement or a massaging implement. A handle has at one end thereof of friction grip handle and at another end an attaching system that can interchangeably attach any one of the various implements. The interchangeability also includes various elements that allow any one of the implements to be used in a rigid manner on the back of a person in a pivotal manner or in a manner where any one of the implements can change to different directions of movements simply by tuning the friction grip handle. The handle can also be adjusted to different lengths.04-09-2009
20090108040Belt attached tool hanger - A tool hanging device attached to the belt of a person. The hanging device is constructed of a unitary piece of wire. The wire is bent in such a manner that a forward and horizontal U-shaped loop is created. Legs of the U-shape are further bent upwardly to create upstanding legs of the U-shape. The upstanding legs are further bent over themselves to form loops. The loops are slip behind a belt of a user and then downwardly so that the loops attach themselves to the belt. The forward and horizontal U-shape is used to hang a hammer thereon and other tools.04-30-2009
