20110304641AUTOMATED CONTRAST VERIFICATIONS - A developer tool is used to programmatically calculate the contrast between the text and background in a user interface. A luminosity ratio is automatically calculated by the tool by capturing an image of a user interface, archiving user interface elements that do not contain text, performing optical character recognition on the remaining user interface elements to find pixels on the text part of the user interface element and pixels on the background part of the user interface element, and finally calculating the luminosity ratio. Results including errors, warnings and luminosity ratio for one or more hotspots in the image can be returned. Results can be used to identify user interface elements that comply or fail to comply with visibility guidelines for contrast between user interface text and background.12-15-2011
20110307865USER INTERFACE INVENTORY - User interface elements are identified and cataloged into a user interface inventory database keyed on a global user interface element identifier. Information is collected for user interface elements activated in an executing application or applications. Scenario information is collected and is used to update the user interface inventory database. Scenario information includes information concerning user interface element usage, state changes, etc. in time. The described information can be collected over a period of time and from a number of different computer systems. The information can be analyzed to determine and quantify usage and testing of user interface elements. The analyzed information can be used to determine how thoroughly a user interface element has been tested, how often the user interface element works as expected, most commonly used user interface elements and other information. The collected information can be used to track, quantify and identify ownership of user interface elements.12-15-2011

20090107906Faucet mounted water filter system - A faucet mounted water filtration system includes a base defining an inlet and a plurality of outlets. The base at least partially defines a filter compartment configured to house a filter cartridge. A first valve assembly is positioned within the base and defines a first passage and a second passage. A valve stem is movably positioned within the first passage. With the valve stem in a first position, the first passage provides fluid communication between the inlet and a first outlet and with the valve stem in a second position the second passage provides fluid communication between the inlet and the filter compartment. A body is rotatably coupled to the base and includes a first cam configured to urge the valve stem from the first position to the second position as the body rotates with respect to the base.04-30-2009

20090261135Energy gel pack clamping fixture - The energy gel pack clamping fixture is a device used for fixably securing multiple gel packs in a central and convenient location about the horizontal tube member just behind the handlebar stem of bicycles. The fixture includes a central rail flame having an arrangement of integrally molded compression gland grooves and mounting tabs on both ends where adjustable cable tie wraps secure the rail about the tube member. A gel pack is secured about the rail frame by positioning the tear-off tab over the gland depression such that the tearing axis lies along the lateral edge of the gland. A snap clamp piece is oriented and pressed about the top of the tear-off tab then forcibly inserted into the mating gland while deforming the tab in place. The snap clamp piece locks in place when deflectable insertion tab arms become seated beneath the lower edge of the rail flame receiving slots. In this manner, repeated for each of multiple packs, the fixture facilitates central mounting and tear opening of energy gel packs in a repeatable and quick fashion.10-22-2009
