20110048212 | Aroma drumhead - A musical drumhead having a top surface and bottom surface and a means attached to the drumhead for discharging an aromatic vapor. The musical drumhead is comprised of a membrane having means to vent the aromatic vapors through the top surface of the drumhead and disperse the vapors into the surrounding environment. Vent means comprises a plurality of vent holes in the drumhead membrane through which the vapors are discharged. The primary source of the vapors is a pad of porous material impregnated with an aroma producing liquid with a pleasing fragrance. The pad of porous material is attached in some conventional manner to the bottom surface of the drumhead immediately beneath the vent holes. The striking of the drumhead produces a vibration in the drumhead membrane which, in turn, excites the molecules in the air beneath and above the membrane. The aromatic oil vapors gathered around the impregnated pad are initially forced in all directions by the excited air and then dispersed through the vent holes into the surrounding areas. | 03-03-2011 |

20110144836 | UNDERWATER INVESTIGATION SYSTEM PROVIDING UNMANNED UNDERWATER VEHICLE (UUV) GUIDANCE BASED UPON UPDATED POSITION STATE ESTIMATES AND RELATED METHODS - An underwater investigation system may include a host ship, a UUV including a propulsion device and a steering device, and at least one sonar system. The system may further include a guidance controller configured to initiate sonar range measurements between the host ship and the UUV using the at least one sonar system, and estimate a respective UUV position state relative to the host ship at the initiation of at least some of the sonar range value measurements to define a series of successive UUV position state estimates. The guidance controller may be further configured to update UUV position state estimates in the series based upon completion of their respective sonar range measurements, propagate the updates to subsequent UUV position state estimates in the series, and control the propulsion device and the steering device to guide movement of the UUV relative to the host ship based upon the updated position state estimates. The system thereby provides relatively precise guidance and navigation capabilities to maneuver the UUV relatively long distances away from the host ship. | 06-16-2011 |

20100269675 | System for Disabling Small Water Craft - A system and method for disabling a small boat comprises at least two hulls and an entanglement device disposed therebetween. In the illustrative embodiment, each hull is an unmanned underwater vehicle. The system is launched from a vessel to intercept the small boat. When close to the small boat, the separating distance between the two hulls is increased, thereby deploying the entanglement device and causing it to become entangled with the small boat (e.g., the small boat's propulsion system, etc.). | 10-28-2010 |

20140259916 | AGRICULTURE PRODUCTION SYSTEM WITH TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED ROOT ZONE - An agriculture production system includes a plurality of plant housings interconnected by conduit portions of a conduit assembly. Each plant housing has an upper housing portion that supports a plant in a growing media therein and a lower housing portion defining a chamber cavity below the upper housing portion so that roots of the plant extend into the chamber, said conduit portions fluidly interconnecting the chambers of the plant housings. A conditioned air unit is coupled to the conduit assembly and conditions air that flows through the conduit assembly into the chambers of the plant housings. A water supply assembly has a plurality of irrigation units, each associated with one of the plant housings and delivering water to the plant housing from a water supply source. The plant housings are arranged in a circuit allowing conditioned air to flow through the chambers of the plant housings to control a temperature and/or humidity in said chambers to promote root development and plant growth. | 09-18-2014 |

20120159290 | VALIDATION ANALYSIS OF HUMAN TARGET - Technology for testing a target recognition, analysis, and tracking system is provided. A searchable repository of recorded and synthesized depth clips and associated ground truth tracking data is provided. Data in the repository is used by one or more processing devices each including at least one instance of a target recognition, analysis, and tracking pipeline to analyze performance of the tracking pipeline. An analysis engine provides at least a subset of the searchable set responsive to a request to test the pipeline and receives tracking data output from the pipeline on the at least subset of the searchable set. A report generator outputs an analysis of the tracking data relative to the ground truth in the at least subset to provide an output of the error relative to the ground truth. | 06-21-2012 |
