In this method, water and organic solvent are mixed and stirred to form a large amount of bubbles, and the bubbles are used such that porosity can be formed more easily and in a more amount. Therefore, the nanowire porous medium can be fabricated more easily and simply. Also, in the nanowire porous medium according to the inventive concept, absorption capacity is increased by containing nanowires, and flexibility and durability are increased by containing a polymer.05-24-2012
20120136232NON-INTRUSIVE WEARABLE RESPIRATORY FAILURE ALARM APPARATUS AND METHOD THEREOF - A non-intrusive wearable respiratory failure alarm apparatus and method capable of detecting a user's respiratory failure state by estimating a change in a user's respiratory rate, while minimizing restrictions on a user's behavior are provided. The non-intrusive wearable respiratory failure alarm apparatus includes: a chest girth measurement unit including one or more resistive electro-threads attached to or worn on a user's chest, and generating a resistance value corresponding to the user's chest girth through the resistive electro-threads; a signal processing unit calculating a user's respiratory rate and whether or not the user is in respiratory failure by referring to the resistance value; and an output unit providing information regarding the user's respiratory rate and/or information regarding whether or not the user is in respiratory failure to the user or a monitoring device.05-31-2012

20110304491DIGITAL FEEDFORWARD SIGMA-DELTA MODULATOR IN ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER AND MODULATION METHOD THEREOF - A digital feedforward sigma-delta modulator in an analog-to-digital converter and its modulation method are disclosed. The modulator changes a feedforward path from an analog domain to a digital domain and processes it. The modulator integrates an analog input by using a plurality of integrators, weights them, quantizes them by using a plurality of quantizers in a digital domain to output digital signals, and then adds up the thusly outputted digital signals by using a digital adder. In case of a continuous time digital feedforward sigma-delta modulator (SDM), a digital signal outputted from the digital adder is weighted and then immediately inputted to the digital adder in the digital domain so as to be subtracted, allowing for digital feedforwarding. Because the feedforward signal is processed in the digital domain, the area occupied by an analog circuit and power consumption can be reduced. Also, because signals are added up in the digital domain, a digital output signal can be immediately used when an excess loop delay needs to be corrected. Thus, because there is no need to convert the digital output signal into an analog signal by using a DAC, the DAC can be omitted.12-15-2011
