20120058316Construction Of A Gripping Fabric - A gripping fabric and method for construction thereof is provided. A fabric structure that defines an inner surface and an outer surface is created. The fabric structure or the gripping fabric is configured to conform to a user's body part for constructing a garment, for example, a sock. The inner surface is proximal to a user contact surface and distal to an external contact surface. The outer surface is proximal to the external contact surface and distal to the user contact surface. A gripping material is selectively applied on the inner surface and/or the outer surface of the fabric structure. The gripping material on the inner surface and the outer surface of the fabric structure adheres to the user contact surface and the external contact surface respectively, thereby providing grip between the user contact surface and the fabric structure, and grip between the fabric structure and the external contact surface.03-08-2012

20100088478System for Internally Monitoring an Integrated Circuit - A system for internally monitoring an integrated circuit, wherein the contents of memory locations in the integrated circuit can be displayed on a dedicated display unit via a graphical interface device provided in the integrated circuit. The system provides a built-in means for observing the internal state of both firmware and hardware (as applicable) on the integrated circuit device. This facilitates the development of, and ongoing health monitoring of, the device in any system into which it may be incorporated. The provision of a graphical interface device provides a relatively high bandwidth for the outgoing data and so allows the internal state of the device to be monitored in real time.04-08-2010

20080246367TUNED LAMINATED PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENTS AND METHODS OF TUNING SAME - A piezoelectric element comprises a piezoelectric ceramic wafer bonded to a substrate, with a surface profile of the substrate being non-uniformly configured to affect the spring rate of the piezoelectric element. For example, in one example embodiment the substrate has its profile configured so that its stiffness is modified or non-uniform along at least one axis of the substrate. The nature of the non-uniform surface profile can acquire various configurations or patterns.10-09-2008
20080264389Component geometry and method for blowout resistant welds - In a method for reducing “blow-out” of annular welds for attaching components in a fuel injector, a relief region is formed on radially-facing surfaces of the components. The relief region is adjacent to a press-fit region. The components are then pressed together, and a weld is made in the relief region. A sealed gap is thereby formed in the relief region between the weld and the press-fit region. The sealed gap provides for the expansion of trapped gases that could otherwise “blow out” the liquid weld bead.10-30-2008

20090303055ABOVE-WATER MONITORING OF SWIMMING POOLS - An above-water system provides automatic alerting for possible drowning victims in swimming pools or the like. One or more electro-optical sensors are placed above the pool surface. Sequences of images are digitized and analyzed electronically to determine whether there are humans within the image, and whether such humans are moving in a manner that would suggest drowning. Effects due to glint, refraction, and variations in light, are offset automatically by the system. If a potential drowning incident is detected, the system produces an alarm sound, and/or a warning display, so that an operator can determine whether action must be taken.12-10-2009

20100150887Tissue Progenitor Cells That Overexpress ERG - Methods for generating a population of mesodermal progenitor cells. In some aspects pluripotent cells such as stem cells are transformed with wild-type ERG expression cassette. Mesodermal progenitor cells of the invention may be used for the treatment of cardiac damage such as myocardial infarction.06-17-2010

20100316199DISTRIBUTED RECORD SERVER ARCHITECTURE FOR RECORDING CALL SESSIONS OVER A VOIP NETWORK - Devices, systems, and methods for recording call sessions over a VoIP network using a distributed record server architecture are disclosed. An example recording device for recording segments of a call session includes a record server configured to receive an agent voice data stream and an external caller voice data stream from an agent telephone station, and a file repository configured to store voice data and call data associated with each recorded segment of the call session. The recording device is configured to tag recorded segments of each call session, which can be later used by a third-party application or database to check the status and/or integrity of the recorded call session.12-16-2010
20110216896DESKTOP RECORDING ARCHITECTURE FOR RECORDING CALL SESSIONS OVER A TELEPHONY NETWORK - Systems and methods for recording call sessions over a telephony network using a desktop recording architecture are disclosed. An illustrative system for recording call sessions over a telephony network includes one or more user telephone stations equipped with a telephone and computer desktop, and one or more additional record services or record servers. A desktop recording service associated with the computer desktop is configured to operate as either a primary or secondary recording service for recording inbound or outbound calls conducted over the user telephone station.09-08-2011
