20110270805CONCURRENT LONG SPANNING EDIT SESSIONS USING CHANGE LISTS WITH EXPLICIT ASSUMPTIONS - An approach is provided that receives a change request from a requestor. The change request includes metadata regarding the change, one or more changes, and one or more change assumptions corresponding to at least one of the changes. The change request is stored in a data store of pending requests. One or more systems are identified that correspond to each of the change assumptions. The identified systems are automatically queried with queries that correspond to the change assumptions. Query responses in response to the querying are received from the identified systems. The validity of each of the change assumptions is determined based on the received query responses. If the change assumptions are valid, then the changes included in the change request are processed. On the other hand, if at least one of the change assumptions is invalid, then the change request is rejected.11-03-2011

20090133807Method And Apparatus For Sealing A Glass Package - An apparatus for sealing a substrate assembly by applying a force to the assembly while simultaneously exposing the substrate assembly, and in particular a sealing material disposed between two substrates of the substrate assembly, to an irradiating beam of electromagnetic energy. The beam heats, cures and/or melts the sealing material, depending upon the sealing material to form the seal. The force is applied by directing a flow of fluid against the substrate assembly, and beneficially improves contact between the substrates of the substrate assembly and the sealing material during the sealing process, therefore assisting in achieving a hermetic seal between the substrates.05-28-2009

20090160211Passive Entry System for Automotive Vehicle Doors - A passive entry system for an vehicle door requires no active operator input to gain entrance to the vehicle. A door module recognizes the signal transmitted by an authorized key fob to identify the operator of the vehicle. The authentication of the operator coupled with the operator touching a sensor on the door to be opened actuates a release actuator that unlatches the selected door. The spring-load provided by the door seal will pop the door open from the closed position. A key cylinder, which can be located substantially anywhere on the door, is coupled mechanically to the release latch for use if the battery is weak and cannot activate the release actuator. An LED signals the state of the opening sequence for the door. The fixed door handle can incorporate a membrane switch or a capacitive sensor to indicate the selection of the door by the operator when touched.06-25-2009
