20100190702Compositions and Methods of Treating Neoplasia - The invention features compositions and methods that are useful for the treatment of neoplasia by reducing base excision repair (BER). Such compositions are useful, for example, for enhancing the efficacy of known chemotherapeutics, such as DNA alkylating agents. In particular, the invention features agents that mimic the interaction of APC with pol-β. Such agents reduce the activity of long patch- and single nucleotide-base extension repair pathways.07-29-2010
20110152206THERAPEUTIC COMBINATIONS FOR USE IN NEOPLASIA - The invention features compositions and methods that are useful for the treatment of neoplasia (e.g., breast cancer) by increasing DNA damage and reducing base excision repair (BER).06-23-2011

20090014180Moving hydrocarbons through portions of tar sands formations with a fluid - A method for treating a tar sands formation is disclosed. The method includes heating a first portion of a hydrocarbon layer in the formation from one or more heaters located in the first portion. The heat is controlled to increase a fluid injectivity of the first portion. A drive fluid and/or an oxidizing fluid is injected and/or created in the first portion to cause at least some hydrocarbons to move from a second portion of the hydrocarbon layer to a third portion of the hydrocarbon layer. The second portion is between the first portion and the third portion. The first, second, and third portions are horizontally displaced from each other. The third portion is heated from one or more heaters located in the third portion. Hydrocarbons are produced from the third portion of the formation. The hydrocarbons include at least some hydrocarbons from the second portion of the formation.01-15-2009
20110042084IRREGULAR PATTERN TREATMENT OF A SUBSURFACE FORMATION - A method of heating a subsurface hydrocarbon containing formation includes providing heat flux per volume to a first portion of a subsurface hydrocarbon containing formation. The heat flux per volume is provided by two or more first heat sources positioned in the first portion. Heat flux per volume is provided to a second portion of the subsurface hydrocarbon containing formation with the heat flux per volume being provided by two or more second heat sources positioned in the second portion. The heat flux per volume provided by the two or more second heat sources is greater than the heat flux per volume provided by the two or more first heat sources. The second portion is positioned below the first portion.02-24-2011

20100049343Non-intrusive acoustic monitoring for equipment diagnostic and fault reporting - A computer implemented method, a computer program product, and a data processing system provide acoustic monitoring and fault reporting. A sound is identified from a consumer device. The sound to an acoustic signal. An acoustic fingerprint is generated from the acoustic signal. The acoustic fingerprint is then compared to a threshold value to determine whether the acoustic fingerprint deviates from a threshold value by more than a defined statistical variance. If the acoustic fingerprint deviates from a threshold value by more than a defined statistical variance, notification is provided that the acoustic fingerprint deviates from the threshold value by more than the defined statistical variance.02-25-2010

20100284522INTERACTIVE VOICE RESPONSE (IVR) SYSTEM CALL INTERRUPTION HANDLING - Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to interactive voice response (IVR) system session management and provide a method, system and computer program product for call interruption handling in an IVR data processing system. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for call interruption handling in an IVR data processing system can include detecting a call interruption of a telephone call between a caller and an IVR system during an established IVR session for the caller. The method also can include saving state information for the established IVR session in connection with the caller in response to detecting the call interruption. The method further can include determining a call back number for the caller and initiating a call back of the caller from the IVR system using the call back number of the caller thereby re-establishing an IVR session for the caller. Finally, the method can include restoring the saved state information for the re-established IVR session for the caller.11-11-2010

20100074053METHODS FOR CONCURRENT GENERATION OF VELOCITY MODELS AND DEPTH IMAGES FROM SEISMIC DATA - In various embodiments, the present disclosure describes methods for processing seismic data to concurrently produce a velocity model and a depth image. Various embodiments of the methods include: a) acquiring seismic data; b) generating a shallow velocity model from the seismic data; c) generating a stacking velocity model using the shallow velocity model as a guide; d) generating an initial interval velocity model from the stacking velocity model; and e) generating an initial depth image using the initial interval velocity model. The methods also include iterative improvement of the initial depth image and the initial interval velocity model to produce improved depth images and improved interval velocity models. Improvement of the depth images and the interval velocity models is evaluated by using a congruency test.03-25-2010

20100167552METHODS FOR PARTICLE REMOVAL DURING INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DEVICE FABRICATION - A method of manufacturing an IC device includes providing a workpiece having least one dielectric layer disposed on a surface of the workpiece. The method also includes processing the dielectric layer to form a plurality of apertures in the dielectric layer, where the processing includes at least one micromask-prone process. The method further includes subsequent to the processing step, cryogenically treating the workpiece. In the method, the treating step removes particles deposited on or in the plurality of apertures during the processing step and maintains the plurality of apertures, where the particles are generated from micromask features resulting from the micromask-prone process.07-01-2010
20100190352USE OF A BIASED PRECOAT FOR REDUCED FIRST WAFER DEFECTS IN HIGH-DENSITY PLASMA PROCESS - According to various embodiments, the present teachings include methods for reducing first wafer defects in a high-density plasma chemical vapor deposition process. In an exemplary embodiment, the method can include running a deposition chamber for deposition of film on a first batch of silicon wafers and then cleaning interior surfaces of the deposition chamber. The method can further include inserting a protective electrostatic chuck cover (PEC) wafer on an electrostatic chuck in the deposition chamber and applying power to bias the PEC wafer while simultaneously precoating the deposition chamber with an oxide. The exemplary method can also include re-starting the deposition chamber for deposition of film on a second batch of silicon wafers.07-29-2010
