20110030510Method of and device for producing band saw blades - A method and device for producing band saw blades, particularly for the timber-processing industry. A blank band saw blade is produced from a metal band, such as a metal band that can be stored on a roll. Several metal bands are combined into a flush metal band packet which can be introduced into a saw band grinding machine. The metal bands are pressed onto a planar guide. The metal band packet is clamped and a grinding machine operates to produce a desired saw tooth profile. A pawl is introduced into a tooth profile which is ground into the metal band packet. The clamped metal band packet is then loosened and advanced with a predetermined tooth spacing.02-10-2011

20080213080Compact Storage System and Its Application - The invention relates to a compact storage system and a corresponding method for storing frozen specimens. The compact storage system comprises one storage area, a housing with thermal insulation and at least one refrigeration unit, with which at least the storage area is coolable down to a temperature of at least −15° C. The compact storage system also comprises storage shelves arranged completely within the refrigerated storage area and a transfer area arranged above this storage area. An essentially horizontally moving robot is arranged within the transfer area. The compact storage system is characterised in that it comprises at least one essentially vertical paternoster device, with a plurality of essentially horizontally oriented storage shelves circulating on an essentially oval path. The robot working in conjunction with the paternoster device is accomplished for removing or depositing a storage shelf and/or objects from/onto a storage shelf respectively. The robot is capable of this removing or depositing, when at least one storage shelf is located in the area of the upper semicircle of the path of this paternoster device. These objects for removing or depositing are selected from a group comprising the transfer frame, container racks and containers.09-04-2008

20110014024METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTINUOUSLY JOINING AT LEAST TWO IMBRICATED FLOWS OF FLAT PRINTED PRODUCTS - A method for continuously joining at least two imbricated flows of flat printed products which are conveyed at equal speeds and spaced from one another, the method includes initially offsetting a first imbricated flow of flat printed products relative to a second imbricated flow of flat printed products so as to form a first lateral overlapping area of both imbricated flows, continuously lifting the printed products of both imbricated flows in the first lateral overlapping area until the lateral overlapping is eliminated, and lowering or dropping the printed products of both imbricated flows in the raised lateral overlapping area, so that partially a printed product of the first imbricated or the second imbricated flow comes to rest above the first or second imbricated flows above a printed product of the respectively other imbricated flow, whereby a single imbricated flow with a second overlapping area of the printed products is formed.01-20-2011

20120082002SINGLE STATION WIRELESS SEISMIC DATA ACQUISITION METHOD AND APPARATUS - A seismic data acquisition apparatus having a recorder co-located with a sensor unit in a seismic spread and a communication device for direct communication with a central recorder. A memory located in the recorder and/or in the central controller holds location parameters associated with the sensor unit, and the parameters can be updated. Methods of seismic data acquisition including sensing seismic energy and recording the sensed energy at the sensor location. Delivering the recorded information to a central recorder by manually retrieving removable memory from each recorder, by wireless transmission of the information, or by removing the information from each recorder by inductive or cable connectors and a transfer device. It is emphasized that this abstract is provided to comply with the rules requiring an abstract which will allow a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain the subject matter of the technical disclosure. It is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b)04-05-2012

20110208076ECG MONITORING SYTSTEM WITH DOCKING STATION - An ECG monitoring system for ambulatory patients includes a battery-powered ECG monitor which attaches to a patient to receive patient electrical signals. A processor continuously processes received ECG signals and stores the signals in memory in the monitor. A wireless transceiver in the ECG monitor transmits the processed ECG signals to a cellphone handset. The battery of the monitor is recharged when the monitor is properly positioned in a charging dock, during which time the ECG signals are sent to the cellphone handset. Preferably the cellphone handset is recharged by the charging dock at the same time. At the conclusion of recharging and data transfer the monitor performs a self-test. A light on the charging dock is illuminated if any of the operations performed while the monitor is docked is unsuccessful.08-25-2011
