20080289247BIOFUELS CONTAINING NITRILE MOIETIES - A novel method to prepare high-enthalpy biofuels has been developed based on a new chemical pattern which has never been used before in the synthesis of renewable fuels. These biofuels are based on natural oleaginous feedstock, rendering low viscosity liquids with broad liquid range and enthalpy levels much superior to those found in common biodiesel, meaning ethyl or methyl fatty esters. As in the case of biodiesel, these new biofuels contain zero sulfur, causing none of the major pollution associated with commercial diesel. High enthalpy biofuels are aliphatic nitrile compounds, containing a single nitrogen substituent, are chemically aprotic, even though their high degree of polarity is reflected in its high cetane index and solubility parameter. The present invention includes fuels associated with diesel, as well as other high-enthalpy fractions, which according to their boiling point, correspond to naphtha in the lower scale, and bunker in the upper scale.11-27-2008

20080312610Microarray Device - A device is provided which is suitable for delivering at least one nanoparticle(s) to a subject. The device can be used to deliver a variety of nanoparticles, for example, therapeutic agents, directly through the outer layers of the skin without passing completely through the epidermis of the subject. Thus the device can be used to deliver therapeutic agents to a predetermined depth and avoid disturbing the pain receptors in the skin. Thus the device can be used to deliver agents, including therapeutic agents, in a non-invasive manner. A method of fabricating devices with associated nanoparticles is also provided.12-18-2008

20110153562ERROR PREVENTION FOR DATA REPLICATION - A method and system for preventing error during data replication is provided. A replication entity model is used to represent data in a source and data in a target. One or more of a logical model, a directed relationship model or a state model may be provided to prevent error. The method and system may be applied to data migration and data synchronisation. The system comprises a transformation engine and a replication engine, wherein the replication engine is adapted to instruct the transformation engine to replicate each replication entity in turn. This may be based on the order dictated by the one or more directed relationships in the directed relationship model. Replication of a replication entity by the transformation engine comprises replicating data within one or more selected data structures of the source in one or more selected data structures of the target, the selection being based on the mapping between the replication entity model data in the source and data in the target.06-23-2011
