20100059185Apparatus and Method for Making a Tubular Composite Barrel - A 360° tool for making a one-piece composite tubular structure, such as a skin of an acoustic liner, is adjustable between a molding position and a non-molding position. The tool includes a base, a fixed segment mounted to the base, first and second doors hingedly connected on either side of the fixed sector, and third door hingedly connected to the second door. The third door has a circumferential extent that is less than one-fourth that of either the first or second door. Sealing members are provided between the doors. Collectively, the fixed sector, and the first, second and third doors have a predetermined shaped surface that corresponds to a portion of the contour of the tubular structure to be formed. After composite material is applied on the outer surfaces of the fixed sector and the doors, a vacuum bag is formed to surround the composite material and also the joint areas on the inner surface of the tool. The entire tool may be placed in an autoclave for curing. The tool may also be used for the layup and bonding of an acoustic core sandwiched between pre-cured skins.03-11-2010

20110252545Lacrosse helmet cover - A cover for a lacrosse helmet made from four elastic fabric panels is disclosed that closely conforms to the shape of a lacrosse helmet and includes a center panel that is cut into the shape of a polygon and has a front side a rear side and two lateral sides, a pair of lateral panels and a rear panel that is cut into the shape of a segment of a circle that includes a straight side and an arcuate side. The rear side of the center panel is attacked to the middle of the arcuate side of the rear panel. The lateral panels are shaped to cover the portion of the helmet that is opposite the ears and include straps that fasten to a chin guard of a conventional lacrosse helmet. The straight side of the rear panel and a front side of the central panel are gathered together and sewn to allow these sections to stretch. The helmet cover further includes openings in the rear panel to allow access to snap-on posts provided on the helmet.10-20-2011

20090148039COLOUR DOCUMENT LAYOUT ANALYSIS WITH MULTI-LEVEL DECOMPOSITION - Disclosed is a method of classifying segmented contents of a scanned image of a document. The method comprise partitioning the scanned image into colour segmented tiles at pixel level. The method then generates superpositioned segmented contents, each segmented content representing related colour segments in at least one colour segmented tile. Statistics are then calculated for each segmented content using pixel level statistics from each of the tile colour segments included in segmented content, and then determines a classification for each segmented content based on the calculated statistics. The segmented content may be macroregions. The macroregions may form part of a multi-layered document representation of the document. Each of a plurality of tiles of predetermined size of the image are converted into a representation having a plurality of layers, the representation corresponding to at least one said tiles comprising multiple coloured layers, each tile comprising a superposition of the corresponding coloured layers. For each of the coloured layers, merging is performed with adjacent ones of the tiles, thereby generating a multi-layered document representation.06-11-2009
