20090118684THERMAL PERSONAL CARE SYSTEMS AND METHODS - Devices and methods for the treatment of skin conditions and lesions are disclosed herein. A thermal device can be used to heat or cool a personal care pack that can then be used to cleanse, treat, and rejuvenate the skin. The personal care pack can be formulated with smooth or abrasive material and can contain a variety of liquids, lotions or gels. Application of the personal care pack, at the desired temperature to the skin can stimulate deeper blood circulation, clear pores, diminishes or removes deep and fine wrinkles, accelerate acne clearing, treat blemished skin, decrease edema and erythema of the skin, and reduce puritis of various etiologies.05-07-2009
20090270728SYSTEM FOR MEASURING AND TRACKING HUMAN BODY FAT - A system for evaluating health, wellness and fitness, and in particular, to a system that uses an ultrasound transducer to accurately measure fat thickness at a plurality of sites on the human body, records these measurements for long term monitoring, and based on the plurality of measurements calculates the total body composition. The system includes a central control unit to analyze the measurement and display the results in a variety of formats.10-29-2009
20100217357Methods and Apparatus for Personal Care - Methods, apparatus and systems for personal care, such as treatment of a skin or hair treatment surface, are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base device is configured to thermally modify (heat or cool) an applicator on a hand piece that can then be used to cleanse, treat and/or otherwise rejuvenate the treatment surface. The applicator can be formulated with a smooth or abrasive material that can absorb, be coated with or otherwise take up a variety of materials, such as liquids, lotions, gels or creams, which are suitable for application to the treatment surface. The base device may thermally modify the material that is then coupled to the applicator and applied to the treatment surface during treatment. Application of the applicator at the desired temperature to the treatment surface may, for example, stimulate deeper blood circulation, clear pores, diminishes or removes deep and fine wrinkles, accelerate acne clearing, treat blemished skin, decrease edema and erythema of the skin, and/or reduce puritis of various etiologies. The hand piece may comprise one or more secondary treatment elements, such as LEDs for photoactivation, electrodes for delivery of micro-currents or vibrating elements for rubbing or abraiding, in order to achieve additional activation of the treatment surface and/or of the thermally modified material coupled to the applicator, which may enhance or improve treatment.08-26-2010

20110280538Pressure Resistant Media Converter Apparatus - A hermetically sealed media converter apparatus configured to operate in harsh high-pressure differential environments, such as deep marine environments, and oil and gas. A hermetically sealed media converter apparatus is provided having a vessel forming an inner chamber that is hermitically sealed from surrounding ambient environment outside the vessel. Media conversion circuitry is contained within the inner chamber. At least one hermetic electrical feedthrough is mounted on the vessel enabling a transmit wire and a receive wire to pass therethrough and connect to the media conversion circuitry, while maintaining the hermetic seal of the inner chamber of the vessel from the surrounding ambient environment. Similarly, a hermetic optical feedthrough also is mounted on the vessel enabling an optical fiber to pass therethrough and connect to the media conversion circuitry, while maintaining the hermetic seal of the inner chamber of the vessel from the surrounding ambient environment.11-17-2011
