20110257233BENZOISOTHIAZOLONES AS INHIBITORS OF PHOSPHOMANNOSE ISOMERASE - The disclosure provides new compounds and compositions thereof, and methods for treating or ameliorating a disorder relating to CDG-Ia. In particular, the disclosure provides benzoisothiazolone inhibitors of PMI, which have been synthesized and their ability to drive glycosylation has been demonstrated. The disclosure provides two synthetic routes for these compounds, including a new copper-catalyzed N-arylation reaction amenable to parallel derivitization. The disclosed compounds represent potent inhibitors of PMI, and their dose-dependent efficacy in cell-based models of glycosylation have been demonstrated. In addition, the disclosed compounds are selective over PMM and therefore, are useful in treating or ameliorating a disorder relating to CDG-Ia.10-20-2011

20110009215Method and System for Golf Ball Fitting Analysis - The present invention provides three golf ball recommendations correlating to ball fit values calculated using subject criteria, objective criteria and a composite fit value employing both subjective and objective criteria. The concept of the invention is to attempt to quantify even the subjective parameters of golfer's game and answers to survey questions in order to provide an avenue for quantitative analysis for golf ball fitting. The ball fit values are a construct based on a scale devised for this method to quantify how difficult or easy a golf ball is to play.01-13-2011
20110053707Multilayer Solid Golf Ball - A multilayer solid golf ball maintains performance characteristics after exposure to high ambient temperatures. A core includes a thermoplastic material. The core is surrounded by an intermediate layer comprising a peroxide cross-linked polybutadiene. A single layer or double layer cover with dimples is also provided.03-03-2011
20110130220Solid Golf Ball With Thin Mantle Layer - A solid multi-layer golf ball includes a core, a mantle layer, and a cover layer. The cover layer and the mantle layer are both made of a thermoplastic polyurethane material. The cover layer is softer than the mantle layer and provided with an optimal thickness for spin and durability. The mantle layer is relatively thin compared to the cover layer and the volume of the ball as a whole. The mantle layer is also harder than the cover layer.06-02-2011
20110177884Golf Ball With Cover Having Varying Hardness - Generally disclosed is a golf ball having a core and a cover layer. The cover layer includes areas that are hard corresponding to the dimples, and areas that are soft corresponding to the land between the dimples. The cover layer may be selectively treated, such as by heating, to achieve a difference in hardness using a single cover layer material. Alternatively, the cover layer may be selectively coated with a coating material having a different hardness. As a result of the arrangement of the hard dimples and the soft land, the golf ball achieves reduced spin, and greater distances, when struck with a larger force (such as during a dive) while also achieving increased spin, and better control, when struck with a smaller force (such as during a chip).07-21-2011
20110177885GOLF BALL HAVING INCREASED MOMENT OF INERTIA - Generally disclosed is a golf ball having a core and a cover layer. The cover layer includes a coating material thereon that increases the golf ball's moment of inertia. The coating material is coated on the cover layer in a pattern corresponding to one of the dimple pattern and the pattern of land areas separating the dimples. The golf ball's moment of inertia is increased while utilizing only a small amount of the coating material as a result of the pattern of coating material, which locates the coating material at an outermost radial distance from the golf ball's center of rotation (i.e., the golf ball's center of gravity). The increased moment of inertia causes the golf ball to have a lower rate of spin when hit by a golf club, thereby displaying different play characteristics.07-21-2011
20110177887Golf Ball With Cover Having Varying Hardness - Generally disclosed is a golf ball having a core and a cover layer.
20110183780Golf Swing Data Gathering Method And System - A method and system for capturing, transmitting, and displaying golf swing data uses data capture elements in golf balls or golf clubs to capture data and transmission elements to transmit the golf swing data to a mobile computing auxiliary device. The mobile computing auxiliary device relays the captured and transmitted golf swing data to a mobile computing device. The mobile computing device transmits the golf swing data to a database. A server associated with the database generates web pages to make the golf swing data available over the internet.07-28-2011
