20090263335USE OF AEROSOLIZED CYCLOSPORINE FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PULMONARY DISEASE - The present invention relates to methods and compositions for prevention of graft rejection in lung transplant recipients and for treatment of subjects with pulmonary disorders. Specifically, the methods and compositions of the invention provide a means for inhibiting immune response mediated inflammatory processes in the lungs. The method of the invention comprises the administration of aerosolized cyclosporine for prevention of acute and/or chronic refractory rejection in lung transplant patients. The invention further provides for the use of aerosolized cyclosporine to treat subjects having immunologically mediated inflammatory pulmonary disorders including, but not limited to, asthma, cystic fibrosis, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, chronic bronchitis and allergic rhinitis. The present invention, by enabling a method for the use of aerosolized cyclosporine for inhibiting pulmonary inflammation leading to prevention of graft rejection and treatment of pulmonary disorders, provides a safer and less toxic treatment than those methods that utilize systemic administration of cyclosporine.10-22-2009

20080267123PACKET SWITCHED CONNECTIONS USING DEDICATED CHANNELS - A temporary (temp) dedicated channel (DCH) is used to support communications. The temp-DCH channel is a channel that is assigned to a user having a set duration. After the duration expires, the channel is automatically released to the user. Embodiments of the invention relate to establishing the temp-DCH channel, determining the data rate and duration of the channel. Other embodiments relate to establishing back-to-back temp-DCH channels and the implementation details of these embodiments. Additionally, one embodiment relates to adding a start/stop function to the medium access controller which can be used in conjunction with temp-DCH as well as other applications.10-30-2008

20100014480SCHEDULING DATA TRANSMISSION BY MEDIUM ACCESS CONTROL (MAC) LAYER IN A MOBILE NETWORK - A method for determining padding compatibility is disclosed. A determination is made of a number of protocol data units (PDUs) for a logical channel mapped to a transport channel such that, for a logical channel allowing segmentation, calculate n wherein n=service data unit size/transport block size (SDU size/TB size), and on a condition that n is an integer, setting the number of PDUs=n.01-21-2010

20090058757WASH DESTRUCTIBLE RESONANT TAG - A resonant tag for use with a radio-wave detection system for the prevention of shoplifting or the like, which has a coil and capacitor circuit formed on opposite sides of an extremely thin substrate of a biaxially-oriented polypropylene, with one of the capacitor plates formed on one side of the substrate and the coil and other capacitor plate formed on the other side of the substrate, and paper layers on both sides of the tag, whereby the circuit is destroyed when the tag is washed in water or dry cleaned.03-05-2009
20090146818RESONANT TAG WITH REINFORCED DEACTIVATION DIMPLE - A resonant circuit for use with a radio-wave detection system for the prevention of shoplifting or the like, which is formed on a flexible substrate and has a coil and capacitor circuit whereby the capacitor has an indented area in the dielectric of the capacitor to promote disablement of the circuit when exposed to a strong electromagnetic field. Upon exposure to a strong electromagnetic field, an electrical short forms across the dielectric of capacitor in the indented area. Because the short is fragile and can be opened by flexure of the circuit, an island of reinforcing material is formed in the indented area, such that when the substrate is flexed, the indented area remains rigid to protect the short. The indented area can be further stress-relieved by introducing a gap in the conductors forming the capacitor plates.06-11-2009

20100173730ADJUSTABLE GOLF TEE - An adjustable golf tee includes an elongated shank having a ball supporting top end, a tapered bottom end and a plurality of tab members projecting outwardly from the shank and arranged in a vertically spaced relationship along the shank. The ball supporting top end may include a plurality of prongs to reduce the contact area between the tee and a ball. An adjustable stop is mounted for separate vertical movement on the shank and rotational movement between an unlocked position and a locked position. The adjustable stop has an internal cavity with a slide channel for receiving tabs. A lip-shaped protrusion is frictionally engageable with at least one of the tabs to effect the locking position. The stop may include a stake for connecting the stop with the ground such that the stop may be used as a ball marker.07-08-2010
