20090254405SIMULTANEOUS VEHICLE ROUTING, VEHICLE SCHEDULING, AND CREW SCHEDULING - A method for generating a transportation plan. A set of transportation requests are identified. An initial transportation plan having a set of vehicle routes, a set of vehicle schedules, and a set of crew schedules that satisfy the set of transportation requests is created. A set of vehicle routes, a set of vehicle schedules, and a set of crew schedules are simultaneously modified repeatedly using a policy to generate a new transportation plan until an objective is met.10-08-2009

20110289226POLICY CO-ORDINATION IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK - In order to address the problem of allowing a GGSN of a UMTS core network to work towards multiple Policy Control Functions (PCFs) co-located with P-CSCF nodes using the COPS protocol, a policy control function coordinator (PCF-C) is implemented between the GGSN and the P-CSCF. A single COPS connection is established between the GGSN and the PCF-C while a COPS connection is established between the PCF-C and each of the P-CSCF nodes. Decisions made at the PCFs are routed to the GGSN via the PCF-C, and responses generated at the GGSN are routed to the appropriate PCFs via the GGSN. This architecture avoids conflicts which might otherwise arise with the COPS protocol.11-24-2011

20120070123Method of evaluating snow and board sport equipment - A method of evaluating snow and board sport equipment. The method includes an evaluator using the equipment and orally describing perceptions arising while using it, for example by means of a wireless microphone. A video image is made of the evaluator using the equipment, and this video image is combined with the oral description to create an audio-visual evaluation of the sport equipment.03-22-2012

20110203573Solar Collector - The invention relates to a solar collector. The collector has a heat regulating medium which defines a cavity therein. An aperture communicates with the cavity so as to allow solar energy incident on the aperture to enter the cavity. An energy collection device is disposed in the cavity and in thermal contact with the heat regulating medium to collect solar energy entering the cavity.08-25-2011

20100244836INTERLEAVED GRADIENT COIL FOR MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING - Gradient coils for generating gradient magnetic fields in a magnetic resonance imaging system are provided. In one embodiment, a gradient coil for a magnetic resonance imaging system may include a plurality of turns formed generally in a figure-eight. The figure-eight may form a first section configured to overly a section of a first adjacent coil, a second section configured to underly another section of the first adjacent coil, a third section configured to overly a section of a second adjacent coil, and a fourth section configured to underly another section of the second adjacent coil.09-30-2010

20110140695FLATTENED GRADIENT COIL FOR MRI SYSTEMS - A gradient coil and an insert gradient coil for a magnetic resonance imaging system include a primary coil. The primary coil includes an upper primary coil portion and a lower primary coil portion, the lower primary coil portion being less curved in cross-section than the upper primary coil portion. The gradient coil also includes a shielding coil disposed outside of the primary coil. The shielding coil includes an upper shielding coil portion and a lower shielding coil portion, the lower shielding coil portion being less curved in cross-section than the upper shielding coil portion.06-16-2011

20090237192MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING SYSTEM AND APPARATUS HAVING A MULTIPLE-SECTION - Systems, methods and apparatus are provided through which in some embodiments a magnetic resonance imaging system includes at least two cryostats, each cryostat having a portion of a superconducting coil. Some embodiments provide force balancing between the sections. Some embodiments provide an ability to use more efficient superconducting coil geometry which would otherwise physically trap the gradient between the coils. Some embodiments provide an ability to install, remove or upgrade magnet without dismantling the imaging room.09-24-2009
