20110164952Grain cart with directional discharge - A grain cart grain discharge including a pivotable discharge chute having a first position to discharge grain from a first side of a grain cart and a second position to discharge grain from an opposite side of the cart. The discharge chute is movably mounted on a guide and pivotable about the central axis of a grain supply auger mounted at the bottom of a grain hopper. A discharge head rotatably located on an end of the discharge chute opposite the supply auger and a control located on a vehicle, the control controlling the movement of the chute from the first position to the second position and controlling a rotational position of the discharge head without leaving the cab of the vehicle.07-07-2011

20090060812MEDICAL RADIOISOTOPES AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME - This disclosure concerns a new method for preparing radioisotopes, such as molybdenum-99, by alpha particle irradiation, such as by alpha particle irradiation of zirconium-96. Molybdenum-99 is a precursor to the medically-significant radioisotope technetium-99m. Also disclosed are novel compositions containing one or more of technetium-99m, molybdenum-99 and zirconium species. Systems for producing molybdenum-99 and technetium-99m, including alpha particle generators and irradiation targets, also are described.03-05-2009

20120019242METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING A PROPERTY OF A SAMPLE - The present disclosure provides a method of monitoring a property of a sample, such as a nanoscopic property of the sample. The method comprises the steps of providing a quantum probe having a quantum state and exposing the quantum probe to the sample in a manner such that the property of the sample, in the proximity of the quantum probe, affects quantum coherence of the quantum probe. The method also comprises detecting a rate of quantum decoherence of the quantum probe to monitor the property of the sample. Further the present disclosure provides an apparatus for monitoring a property of a sample.01-26-2012

20110121895CONTROL AND READOUT OF ELECTRON OR HOLE SPIN - This invention concerns an electronic device for the control and readout of the electron or hole spin of a single dopant in silicon. The device comprises a silicon substrate in which there are one or more ohmic contact regions. An insulating region on top of the substrate. First and second barrier gates spaced apart to isolate a small region of charges to form an island of a Single Electron Transistor (SET). A third gate over-lying both the first and second barrier gates, but insulated from them, the third gate being able to generate a gate-induced charge layer (GICL) in the ESR line substrate beneath it. A fourth gate in close proximity to a single dopant donor gate atom, the dopant atom being encapsulated in the substrate outside the region of the GICL but close enough to allow spin-dependent charge tunnelling between the dopant atom and the SET island under the control of gate potentials, mainly the fourth gate. In use either the third or fourth gate also serve as an Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) line to control the spin of the single electron or hole of the dopant atom. In a further aspect it concerns a method for using the device.05-26-2011

20080227688Inhibition of viral replication - The present invention provides inhibitors of viral replication, and methods related thereto. In general, such compounds can be classified as peptidyl fluoromethylketones (PFMKs). The PFMK compounds may be used to partially or completely inhibit viral infection. In certain embodiments, Z-FA-FMK may be used to inhibit replication of a reovirus, such as a wild-type or attenuated reovirus, or a leporipoxvirus, such as myxoma virus. These compounds may be useful for controlling viral infectivity in vivo and/or in vitro.09-18-2008
