20090042785Compound with Affinity for the Cytotoxic T Lymphocyte-Associated Antigen (Ctla-4) - The present invention relates to a compound with affinity for the cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen (CTLA-4), wherein the compound exhibits a synergistic mode of action in that the compound: (a) increases T cell priming or T cell expansion or the generation of memory T cells by blocking of CTLA-4, and (b) enhances effector T cell activity in tumor tissue or lymphoid tissue by blocking of CTLA-4. The compound of the invention can be a protein, a small organic molecule, a peptide, or a nucleic acid. The invention also relates to a mutein derived from a protein selected from the group consisting of human neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (hNGAL), rat α2-microglobulin-related protein (A2m) and mouse 24p3/uterocalin (24p3), said mutein having binding specificity for the cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen (CTLA-4), wherein said mutein: (a) comprises amino acid replacements at least one of the sequence position corresponding to sequence positions 33 to 54, 66 to 83, 94 to 106, and 123 to 136 of hNGAL, and (b) binds human CTLA-4 with a K02-12-2009
20090274623IN VIVO IMAGING AGENTS FOR MET RECEPTOR TYROSINE KINASE - Provided are in vivo imaging agents comprising muteins of hTLc having detectable binding affinity for c-Met or a domain thereof, coupled to a signal generator, and the mutein coupled to a signal generator is disposed in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also provided are diagnostic methods using in vivo imaging agents comprising muteins of hTLc having detectable binding affinity for c-Met or a domain thereof.11-05-2009
20090305982MUTEINS OF TEAR LIPOCALIN AND METHODS FOR OBTAINING THE SAME - The present invention relates to novel muteins derived from human tear lipocalin. The invention also refers to a corresponding nucleic acid molecule encoding such a mutein and to a method for its generation. The invention further refers to a method for producing such a mutein. Finally, the invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition comprising such a lipocalin mutein as well as to various uses of the mutein.12-10-2009
20110098211MUTEINS WITH TEAR LIPOCALIN HAVING AFFINITY TO HUMAN C-MET RECEPTOR TYROSINE KINASE AND METHODS FOR OBTAINING THE SAME - The present invention relates to novel muteins derived from human tear lipocalin having affinity to human c-Met receptor tyrosin kinase (c-Met). The invention also refers to a corresponding nucleic acid molecule encoding such a mutein and to a method for its generation. The invention further refers to a method for producing such a mutein. Finally, the invention is directed to a pharmaceutical composition comprising such a lipocalin mutein as well as to various uses of the mutein.04-28-2011

20100186075METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESSING DEVICES IN A SECURE MANNER - The present disclosure is concerned with a secure and trustable way of accessing devices in an embedded device environment with no network connectivity to outside service. This type of access to access-critical embedded devices by a user or service technician is controlled by way of a mobile memory or access-ticket storage i.e., such as a physical token. The token can, for example, be a smartcard or USB stick with appropriate memory for storing a user credential(s) or user identification such as a password or fingerprint. In an exemplary embodiment, a user can acquire an electronic access ticket with a suitable expiration period from a centralized ticket or access authorization server before travelling to the access-critical device, or to a location communicatively connected to the latter. The access ticket can contain access rights of the user with respect to one or several access-critical devices, and can be stored on the mobile memory. The access rights can be evaluated by the access-critical devices upon authentication of the identity of the user, based on the user credential(s), by an authenticating device to which the mobile memory can be coupled.07-22-2010

20100020724METHOD OF CONFIGURING AN INTELLIGENT ELECTRONIC DEVICE - Substation automation (SA) systems are disclosed such as systems for configuring an International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61850 standard-compliant Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) in a SA system. A proxy IED is a NCC gateway device enhanced for converting data between non-IEC 61850 and IEC 61850 communication protocols. Proxy IED is configured, based on a set of mappings, which are coded in the SA configuration description (SCD) file. The SCD file can include mappings for data conversion between non-IEC 61850 and IEC 61850 communication protocols.01-28-2010
