20080319916Method and Apparatus for Cashless Online Marketplace - A cashless online marketplace for the transaction of goods and services. A computer implemented method of acquiring membership, donating and acquiring goods/services via the Internet are described. A computer-implemented method for conducting a cashless online transaction is described, generally comprising the steps of a donor posting an item for donation at a sum of points, an acquirer offering to acquire the item, the donor accepting the acquirer's offer to acquire the item, deducting the sum of points from an account of the acquirer, transferring the item from the donor to the acquirer, notifying the acquirer that the item has been transferred, the acquirer responding to the notification that the item has been transferred by either accepting or disputing the cashless online transaction, and closing the cashless online transaction. Steps wherein the acquirer identifies the item to acquire, the acquirer specifying a transfer option for transfer of the item from the donor to the acquirer from one or more transfer options provided by the donor. An acquirer can respond within a specified period and dispute the transaction. A dispute may result in loss of points in the acquirer's account or the donor's account, or a demerit accruing in the donor's membership record. Upon a specified number of demerits a donor can be prevented from further donating items at the cashless online marketplace. Apparatus, system and medium embodiments are disclosed.12-25-2008
20100153284METHODS AND SYSTEMS TO USE AN AGGREGATED CONTACT LIST FOR SHARING ONLINE INFORMATION - The present invention provides methods and systems for using an aggregated contact list for sharing online information. In one embodiment, an event forum is provided with a connection link to enable a user to retrieve contacts from one or more online social or messaging networks. Upon the user providing authentication credentials to login to the one or more online social or messaging networks, an aggregating service retrieves the user's contacts from each of the networks. In one embodiment, the contacts from all the networks are presented as an aggregated list, allowing the user to select one or more contacts to send a message related to the event forum. In one embodiment, the aggregating service creates a landing web page specific to the message transmitted by the user. In some instances, the landing web page enables the user and the contacts to exchange messages.06-17-2010
20110231778CUSTOMIZING CONTENT DISPLAYED FOR A USER BASED ON USER PREFERENCES OF ANOTHER USER - In one embodiment, a server receives a request from a first user to share content from a first forum (e.g., a webpage) with a second user. In response, the server generates a link to the content for use by the second user. This link includes a pointer to a first user preference associated with the first user. In some instances, the first user preference is stored in conjunction with a unique identifier associated with the first user. Subsequently, when the second user attempts to access the content, the server generates a second webpage that includes the content. The server customizes the webpage (that is to be displayed to the second user) by using the user preferences associated with the first user.09-22-2011

The panel includes multiple RFID readers for reading the RFID tags placed on each of the medication containers mounted to the panel. The pump includes a controller that communicates with the RFID readers at the panel to receive the information read by the RFID readers and automatically program the respective pump channel. A verification program verifies that the medication delivery information from the containers matches the patient identified for the pump and the programming parameters of the pump fall within acceptable ranges. In another aspect, the panel contains multiple vibration devices to impart vibrations to the medication of each of the containers mounted to the panel. Those vibrations are sensed by the particular pumping channel to confirm that the correct channel has been programmed for that medication. When the clinician opens the door of the pumping channel, the pump may request information from the RFID reader at the panel for that medication and may wait for receipt of the vibrations in the medication of the tubing mounted into the channel.10-06-2011

20100033504Windowless Shape Drawing - Development environments are commonly used to facilitate the development of user interfaces (e.g. windows forms, web forms, etc.). Drawing objects are components that may be used within the development environment to provide visual enhancements to the user interface. An effective method for drawing one or more drawing objects is disclosed herein to draw the drawing objects as windowless shapes within a shape container. The shape container may be configured to participate in a windows message loop (e.g. event handling system), wherein the windowless shapes do not participate in the windows message loop (e.g. lack a windows handle). The shape container listens, for example, within the windows message loop for operations pertaining to windowless shapes, and executes the operations upon the windowless shapes. Computer resources may be efficiently allocated, for example to the graphical user interface during runtime, instead of the windowless shapes consuming resources to participate in the windows message loop.02-11-2010

20100141208Energy Storage Module - A battery assembly having batteries connected in series to form rows and columns of battery cells into packs that combine the energy of multiple batteries. The battery cells are joined together to form columns of cells connected mechanically together by an exterior connection sleeve, and mechanically and electrically connected together by a conductive epoxy joining the end of one cell to the end of an adjacent cell in series. The columns of cells are mounted and held in place by racks, with bolts passing through the racks to form a sandwich structure that secures the position and orientation of the cells and columns, and that maintains the electrical connection between joined cells. Bus bars at the end of the columns of each rack are joined together to electrically connect the columns to each other, and to provide two terminals of the pack through which power is supplied to and from the cells. Perpendicularly disposed to the direction of the columns are a series of conductive bands that join adjacent cells together along rows of cells.06-10-2010
