20100088417STORAGE MEDIUM, UNIQUENESS ASSURANCE REALIZING METHOD, SESSION MANAGEMENT METHOD AND UNIQUENESS ASSURANCE INFORMATION SETTING MANAGEMENT DEVICE - One system distributes a request for providing a service using a first communication protocol, from a terminal device to a server selected from among a plurality of servers by a server load balancer in response to the request. A corresponding relation between identification information for identifying a session generated in a distributed server and the server that has generated the session corresponding to the identification information is set in the server load balancer by the service of a second communication protocol as uniqueness assurance information for uniqueness assurance. Thus, when the provision of a service is requested using a second communication protocol by the terminal device, the server load balancer refers to the set uniqueness assurance information and selects the server for providing the service from among the plurality of servers.04-08-2010
20100241715METHOD OF REALIZING UNIQUENESS ASSURANCE AND METHOD OF DETERMINING MESSAGE DESTINATION - A method of realizing uniqueness assurance includes: selecting a server to which a first message is to be transferred from multiple servers and transferring the first message to the selected server when the first message is received from a terminal apparatus by a load sharing apparatus; storing a second message that should be transferred to the same server as that of the first server when the second message is received from the terminal apparatus by the load sharing apparatus after the first message is transferred; generating uniqueness assurance information corresponding to the communication protocols corresponding to a session generated by the server to which the first message is transferred, the uniqueness assurance information indicating the correspondence between the session and the message corresponding to the session; and transferring the second message in accordance with the generated uniqueness assurance information if the stored second message exits.09-23-2010
20110035436RELAY APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING MESSAGE - A relay apparatus for transferring message data received from a client to one of a plurality of servers includes a status management data storage, a transfer rule handling section, and an acknowledgment transmitting section. The status management data storage holds data of an acknowledgment necessity table. The acknowledgment necessity table includes first identification information of a first apparatus to which the relay apparatus acknowledges when the relay apparatus has received first transfer rule notification data from the first apparatus. The transfer rule handling section determines whether the acknowledgment necessity table includes the first identification information identical to second identification information of a second apparatus upon receiving second transfer rule notification data from the second apparatus. The acknowledgment transmitting section transmits acknowledgment data to the second apparatus when the acknowledgment necessity table includes the first identification information identical to the second identification information.02-10-2011
20110040892LOAD BALANCING APPARATUS AND LOAD BALANCING METHOD - A load balancing apparatus stores a transfer rule in which a path control identifier for identifying a path for a message sent from a client device is associated with relay device information for specifying a relay device that creates the path control identifier. When receiving a message from the client device, the load balancing apparatus determines whether the message contains the path control identifier. If the load balancing apparatus determines that the path control identifier is contained, the load balancing apparatus specifies, from the transfer rule, relay device information with which the path control identifier is associated and then sends the message to a relay device that is specified by the specified relay device information. In contrast, if the load balancing apparatus determines that the path control identifier is not contained, the load balancing apparatus sends the message to the relay device specified in accordance with a predetermined condition.02-17-2011
20110154457AUTHENTICATING METHOD, CONVERSION DEVICE, AND RELAY DEVICE - A conversion device receives service data including first connection destination data and the authentication information about an authenticated user, generates second connection destination data for designation of the first connection destination data, then associates the authentication information, the first and second connection destination data with one another, transmits them to a relay device, and transmits to a client the service data in which the first connection destination data is replaced with the second connection destination data; the client transmits the second connection destination data selected by the user to the relay device; the relay device transmits the authentication information to a server indicated by the first connection destination data using the authentication information and the first connection destination data corresponding to the second connection destination data, and transmits the address of the server to the client; and the client communicates with the server using the address and the authentication information.06-23-2011

20110035761DISK APPARATUS - The tray of the disc device includes the ground member including the base cover that substantially covers the electronic component and the ground extension portion, and the front projection located forward in the tray-out direction relative to the ground extension portion. The casing includes the casing-side ground contacting portion that contacts the ground extension portion in a tray-in state. In the tray-in state, the ground extension portion and the casing-side ground contacting portion are contacted so that static electricity is flowed to the casing via the ground member, thereby preventing the static electricity from flowing and damaging the electronic component. Even when the ground extension portion is deformed in the tray-out direction, the contact between the ground extension portion and the front projection prevents excessive deformation of the ground extension portion. Thus, the disc device can be easily handled without fearing damage to the ground extension portion.02-10-2011

20080222632VIRTUAL MACHINE SYSTEM - A virtual machine system in which a physical CPU busy ratio can be measured in consideration of the status of an assignment of the physical CPU, and the measured CPU busy ratio can be reflected to a CPU busy ratio of each guest OS. An elapsed time counter is provided in a hypervisor, and a hypervisor access interface is provided in each of LPARs and used to read the elapsed time counter from the guest OS. A performance monitor program running on each guest OS calculates, based on a value of the elapsed time counter, the number of sampling timings expected to occur during the time when the physical CPU is not assigned to the LPAR in which the performance monitor program is provided.09-11-2008
20080301487VIRTUAL COMPUTER SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF - When a failure occurs in an LPAR on a physical computer under an SAN environment, a destination LPAR is set in another physical computer to enable migrating of the LPAR and setting change of a security function on the RAID apparatus side is not necessary. When a failure occurs in an LPAR generated on a physical computer under an SAN environment, configuration information including a unique ID (WWN) of the LPAR where the failure occurs is read, a destination LPAR is generated on another physical computer, and the read configuration information of the LPAR is set to the destination LPAR, thereby enabling migrating of the LPAR when the failure occurs, under the control of a management server.12-04-2008
20080307216METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BOOTING A COMPUTER SYSTEM - In investigating the cause of a fault in a computer storage system, it is considered useful to previously prepare maintenance logical units (LUs) of a simple structure, the operation of which has been confirmed. If the same number of LUs as servers are prepared for each server as in the prior art, the efficiency is low. Furthermore, securing these LUs complicates assignment of the LUs for construction of a system and a work for addressing the fault. The present invention provides a computer system free of these problems. The computer system has a first computer for executing a first OS (operating system), a second computer for executing a second OS, and a storage array system. The storage array system uses a disk device having a logical unit (LU) for storing a boot loader, as well as the first and second OSes. The boot loader is executed on any one of the two computers, reads in any of the OSes corresponding to the currently operating computer into this operating computer, and executes the read OS.12-11-2008
20100031258VIRTUAL MACHINE SYSTEM AND CONTROL METHOD OF THE VIRTUAL MACHINE SYSTEM - In a control method of a virtual machine system, when a virtual machine operating in a physical machine is transferred to another physical machine, a management server stops the virtual machine of transfer source and defines a virtual machine of transfer destination in the other physical machine. A virtual network address and a virtual storage interface address of the virtual machine of transfer source is exchanged with a virtual network address and a virtual storage interface address defined in the virtual machine of transfer destination in the state that the virtual machine is prevented from being activated and then prevention of activation of the virtual machine of transfer destination is canceled, so that transfer processing can be made safely by simple procedure.02-04-2010
