20090054116Method and apparatus for scent dispensing - A scent dispenser is integratable into a portable device, such as a mobile handset. The scent dispenser has a vibrating element configured to vibrate in an ultrasound frequency range for dispensing a scent material. Scent dispensing can be in response to an incoming signal received by a mobile handset, but scent dispensing can also be controlled by a user. The scent material is stored in a compartment having a channel with a valve and the vibrating element can be used to open the valve for replenishing the scent material when the vibration is in a low frequency range such as 1-10 Hz. The vibrating element can also be used to produce audio signals. Thus, the scent dispenser can also be integrated with a sound producing unit in a mobile electronic device.02-26-2009

20100058212USER INTERFACE, DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING SPECIAL LOCATIONS ON A MAP - A user interface comprising a controller configured to display a map and to display at least one marked location on said map. The location is associated with at least one graphical object. The controller is further configured to determine whether a first graphical object will overlap a second graphical object when rendered and if so said controller is configured to create a third graphical object being associated with said first and second graphical objects and render said third graphical object.03-04-2010
20100325211METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING UNIFORM CONTENT MANAGEMENT - An approach is provided for providing uniform content management for a user equipment. A uniform content management platform determines new content from a plurality of content of different categories. The uniform content management platform further initiates presentation of the new content via a graphical user interface that includes: a dashboard providing a layout of the new content, a content manager that is invoked upon selection of a particular one of the new content for managing a group of content of a common category, and a content editor that is invoked upon selection of one of the content in the group for editing the selected content.12-23-2010

20090042577MEASUREMENTS IN COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS - A method of selecting a cell for handover of a mobile station to another communication system. A command is sent to a mobile station from a first network element. The command includes a request to perform compressed mode measurements at the mobile station of a neighboring cell. The neighboring cell uses a different communication means than the first network element. Compressed mode measurement results are received from the mobile station at the first network element. The received compressed mode measurement results are weighted with indicators of a prioritized neighbor cell list to form a prioritized list. A second command is sent to the mobile station from the first network element. The second command includes a second request to decode identification codes at the mobile station based on the prioritized list. An indicator of a suitable cell from the prioritized list is received from the mobile station at the first network element. An instruction is sent to the mobile station from the first network element after receiving the indicator. The instruction stops decoding identification codes at the mobile station.02-12-2009
20090073892MEASUREMENTS IN COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS - A communication system comprising a network element, a mobile station, and a plurality of radio access means. The plurality of radio access means is configured to provide communication services to the mobile station. A radio access means of the plurality of radio access means includes a plurality of cells. The plurality of radio access means use different communication methods. The network element is configured to order the radio access means based on provided information. The provided information is associated with the plurality of radio access means and is based on a plurality of parameters associated with each of the plurality of radio access means. The network element is further configured to select a target radio access means of the plurality of radio access means based on the ordering and to send a request to the mobile station to perform compressed mode measurements based on the selected target radio access means for selecting a cell associated with the selected target radio access means03-19-2009
20090075656MEASUREMENTS IN COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS - A method of performing compressed mode measurements for selecting communication means in a communication system. Statistics are collected on handovers from a cell in a communications system to a plurality of other cells in the communications system. A cell load of each cell of the plurality of other cells is weighted by a percentage of handovers from the cell to the respective one of the plurality of other cells. A threshold is determined based on the weighted cell loads. The threshold can be used to trigger a load based handover from the cell to one of the plurality of other cells.03-19-2009

20120135081HYDROPHOBINS FOR DISPERSING ACTIVE AGENTS - In the field of drug or nutrient administration novel particles and formulations thereof are provided. Said particles each have a core comprising active agent and at least partial coating comprising proteins, selected from hydrophobins. Preferable hydrophobins belong to class I or class II. Said particles exhibit enhanced characteristics, for example dispersibility or solubility. Here is also disclosed two methods for producing said particles in nanoscale, of which one utilizes precipitating and another wet milling.05-31-2012

20110143373METHOD OF EVALUATING THE INTEGRITY OF THE PLASMA MEMBRANE OF CELLS BY DETECTING GLYCANS FOUND ONLY INTRACELLULARLY - The invention describes novel reagents that can be applied for analysis of the quality of human cells. The method evaluates the integrity of the plasma membrane of the cells by detecting novel glyco structures found only intracellularly. The method can be applied, for example, to demonstrate exposure of therapeutic cell preparation to potentially harmful conditions. It can also be used as a quality control tool in methods in which intact cell membrane is essential and it can be applied in separation of damaged cells from non- damaged.06-16-2011
