20100192970DEVICE FOR HEATING KERATINOUS FIBERS AND METHODS FOR TREATING KERATINOUS FIBERS - The present disclosure relates to a method for treating keratinous fibers wherein the keratinous fibers are exposed to infrared radiation comprising wavelengths ranging from 700 to 1400 nanometers, such as ranging from 750 to 1400 nanometers, and optionally wavelengths ranging from 1400 nanometers to 1 millimeter, for instance, ranging from 1400 to 25,000 nanometers, such as ranging from 1400 to 15,000 nanometers. Also disclosed herein is a a device for heating keratinous fibers, such as the hair, for the implementation of the method according to the present disclosure, comprising at least one emitter of infrared radiation, wherein the infrared radiation comprises wavelengths ranging from 700 to 1400 nanometers, such as ranging from 750 to 1400 nanometers, and wavelengths ranging from 15,000 nanometers to 1 millimeter, such as ranging from 15,000 to 25,000 nanometers. Also disclosed is a kit comprising at least one device for heating keratinous fibers, and at least one composition for treating keratinous fibers.08-05-2010
20100201373ANOMALY MONITORING DEVICE - In an anomaly monitoring device, in which an output signal from an encoder is input as an analog input signal via a wiring system, for detecting anomalies in the encoder or the wiring system, provided are a voltage level based device, a pulse number based device and a pulse width based device. The voltage level based device detects anomalies when the voltage level of the analog input signal exists within a prescribed range. The pulse number based device detects anomalies when the difference in the numbers of pulses of digital signals corresponding to the analog input signals is equal to or greater than a prescribed threshold value. The pulse width based device detects anomalies when the pulse width of the digital signals, measured from a combined signal of the digital signals or each of the digital signals, is different from the pulse width in a past control period.08-12-2010
20100209375PROCESS FOR TREATING KERATIN FIBERS WITH AT LEAST ONE HETEROCYCLIC DISULFIDE ENTITY IN THE PRESENCE OF AT LEAST ONE REDUCING AGENT, OPTIONALLY HEAT, AND OPTIONALLY AT ALKALINE PH. - The present disclosure relates to a process for treating keratin fibers, comprising: applying to the keratin fibers at least one heterocyclic disulfide entity chosen from those of formula (I), optionally applying to the keratin fibers at least one reducing agent; and/or optionally heating the keratin fibers at a temperature ranging from 50 to 250° C.; optionally at an alkaline pH; it being understood that when the at least one heterocyclic disulfide entity chosen from those of formula (I) is lipoic acid, and at least one reducing agent is applied to the keratin fibers, then the lipoic acid is not present together in the same composition with the at least one reducing agent. The present disclosure also relates to a cosmetic composition, optionally at alkaline pH, comprising, in a cosmetic support: at least one heterocyclic disulfide entity chosen from those of formula (I), and optionally at least one reducing agent; it being understood that when the at least one heterocyclic disulfide entity chosen from those of formula (I) is lipoic acid, and at least one reducing agent is applied to the keratin fibers, then the lipoic acid is not present together in the same composition with the at least one reducing agent.08-19-2010

20100327667Safety device and power converter - Whether a safety function unit having a safety function of a desired standard is correctly mounted in a safety device having a configuration in which a basic control function and safety function are separated is accurately determined. The safety device includes a controller and the safety function unit. The controller is provided with a unit which selects a category for identifying a safety function unit which should be connected, a unit which transmits a reference signal to the safety function unit, a unit which determined, based on a category identification signal returned from the safety function unit, whether or not the category of the connected safety function unit coincides with a selected category, and a unit which, in the event that the result of the determination is such that the category of the connected safety function unit and the selected category do not coincide, prohibits the output of a control signal. The safety function unit is provided with a unit which, based on the reference signal transmitted from the controller, generates the category identification signal in accordance with a process appropriate to the category of the safety function unit, and returns it to the controller.12-30-2010
