20090274374METHOD FOR MATCHING IMAGES, IMAGE MATCHING DEVICE, IMAGE DATA OUTPUT APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM - In an image matching device of the present invention, a feature point calculation section calculates feature points on an input document image from inputted data of the input document image; a features calculation section calculates features of the input document image in accordance with a relative position between the calculated feature points; and a voting process section and a similarity determination section compare the calculated features of the input document image with features of a reference document image, so as to determine whether or not the input document image is similar to the reference document image. When it is determined that the input document image is similar to the reference document image, a document discrimination section determines a position of an image which is on the input document image and similar to the reference document image, in accordance with the positions of the coordinates of the feature points on the input document image and the feature points on the reference document image which coincides with the input document image in features, so as to discriminate whether or not the input document image is an image of an N-up document. With this, whether or not an input document is an N-up document can be discriminated by utilizing the function of an image matching process.11-05-2009

20110222785Signal classification apparatus - An acquisition unit acquires feature vectors (the number is N). A first selection unit selects first neighbor features (k (1≦k≦N)) of each feature vector in order of higher similarity from the feature vectors. A second selection unit generates a plurality of groups each including similar feature vectors from the feature vectors, and selects second neighbor features (u (1≦k+u≦N−2)) of each feature vector in order of higher similarity. Each of the second neighbor features is differently included in a group. A determination unit calculates a density of each feature vector by using a threshold, the first neighbor features and the second neighbor features, and determines feature vectors to be classified into the same class as each feature vector by using the density and a threshold. A classification unit classifies the feature vectors into a plurality of classes by using the selection result. A control unit controls each threshold.09-15-2011

20090237523IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS, IMAGE CAPTURING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSING METHOD - An image signal processing apparatus is disclosed. A peaking signal generation section extracts and amplifies high frequency components contained in an input image signal to generate a peaking signal. An operation section allows a target area for which contour correction is to be performed using the peaking signal to be accepted. A control section generates an area gate signal describing position information corresponding to the designated target area. A mask processing section performs a mask process of outputting an image signal to which the peaking signal has been added to the target area designated through the operation section based on the area gate signal supplied from the control section. A scaling processing section converts pixels of the image signal for which the mask process has been performed is converted at a predetermined scaling ratio.09-24-2009
