20110227947Multi-Touch User Interface Interaction - Multi-touch user interface interaction is described. In an embodiment, an object in a user interface (UI) is manipulated by a cursor and a representation of a plurality of digits of a user. At least one parameter, which comprises the cursor location in the UI, is used to determine that multi-touch input is to be provided to the object. Responsive to this, the relative movement of the digits is analyzed and the object manipulated accordingly. In another embodiment, an object in a UI is manipulated by a representation of a plurality of digits of a user. Movement of each digit by the user moves the corresponding representation in the UI, and the movement velocity of the representation is a non-linear function of the digit's velocity. After determining that multi-touch input is to be provided to the object, the relative movement of the representations is analyzed and the object manipulated accordingly.09-22-2011

20100321275MULTIPLE DISPLAY COMPUTING DEVICE WITH POSITION-BASED OPERATING MODES - Described is a multiple display computing device, including technology for automatically selecting among various operating modes so as to display content on the displays based upon their relative positions. For example concave modes correspond to inwardly facing viewing surfaces of both displays, such as for viewing private content from a single viewpoint. Convex modes have outwardly facing outwardly surfaces, such that private content is shown on one display and public content on another. Neutral modes are those in which the viewing surfaces of the displays are generally on a common plane, for single user or multiple user/collaborative viewing depending on each display's output orientation. The displays may be movably coupled to one another, or may be implemented as two detachable computer systems coupled by a network connection.12-23-2010

20100272557GAS TURBINE OPTICAL IMAGING SYSTEM - A method and system for recreating a two-dimensional distribution of temperatures in an exhaust plane of a gas turbine engine. Light transmission and detection pairs may be arranged in the annulus of the exhaust of the turbine engine in such a way that the individual rays form a two-dimensional mesh of beams across a sector of the exhaust. Based on the absorption of the rays, the temperature of the sector of the exhaust thru which the ray passes may be determined. Based on these determinations, an image that corresponds to the operation of the turbine engine may be generated.10-28-2010
