20100235069APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING A VEHICLE - It is possible to suppress fluctuations of an air intake amount when the open degree of an air intake control valve is unknown. An engine includes an impulse valve common to all the cylinders arranged in the engine. The impulse valve is arranged in a communicating tube provided at the downstream side of a serge tank. An ECU executes impulse valve drive control. In the control, the ECU judges whether a rotation angle sensor which detects the open degree of the impulse valve has failed. If it is judged that the rotation angle sensor has failed, the ECU controls a drive motor and a drive circuit for driving a valve body so that a valve body of the impulse valve rotates inside the communicating tube. Here, the rotor of the drive motor which defines the rotation speed of the valve body has an rpm which is set in accordance with the mechanical rpm NE of the engine.09-16-2010

The valve timings (opening, closure) are specified at a timing at which the valve body reached a position that is apart from a pre-determined position on a basis of a buffer height of a buffer mechanism. The electromagnetic force is applied to the lower and upper disks when an electric current passes through the open/close coil. When displacing a controlled object to which an urging force is applied by an elastic member from one displacement end to the other displacement end, the control apparatus sets a switching hyperplane and controls the controlled object by using a sliding mode control in such a manner that a state quantity of the controlled object is converged on the switching hyperplane. In the sliding mode control, the control apparatus switches an operation mode for controlling the controlled object when the controlled object passes an operation switching point. A conventional structure, in which a lead wire is soldered directly for electrically connecting the piezoelectric body to an external control circuit, causes a restriction of the vibration due to a solder attached to the piezoelectric body, resulting in narrowing the sensing range. Using the piezoelectric vibration type force sensor, the range of sensing forces can be expanded by making a state in which conducting portions of the piezoelectric body and the restricting member are not fixed but contact with each other for keeping electric conductivity.05-19-2011
