20080313297User Experience For Multiple Simultaneous Connections On An Instant Messaging Program - Exemplary methods, computer-readable storage media, and systems are described for establishing multiple simultaneous connections on an instant messaging program to enhance the user experience. The user receives notifications of request to communicate, an email, or an alert on communication devices. By choosing which communication device to respond on, that particular communication device becomes active, continuing the communication to transmit to and receive from on that communication device. The process also includes mirroring the communication on the other communication devices that are alive (connected) and non-mobile. Furthermore, the other communication devices are kept alive to allow the user to switch from one communication device to another during communication.12-18-2008
20090063643Processing Data Obtained From a Presence-Based System - Functionality is described for collecting data from a presence-based system, such as an instant messaging system. The functionality can extract information from the collected data based on one or more rules. For instance, the functionality can identify presence data and/or message data that includes predetermined key words. The functionality can formulate result information based on the extracted information for presentation to a recipient. Based on these operations, the collected data supports a data-mining operation, as well as the traditional role of facilitating communication among the participants of the presence-based system. The result information can correspond to a report that presents aggregated findings, optionally organized into one or more demographic categories, or the result information can correspond to an advertisement, etc.03-05-2009
20100057754PERSISTING A GROUP IN AN INSTANT MESSAGING APPLICATION - A system described herein includes a receiver component that receives a request to create a persistent messaging group for an instant messaging application, wherein the request includes an indication of one or more entities that are desired to be members of the persistent messaging group. The system further includes a group creator component that creates the persistent messaging group based at least in part upon the received group creation request, wherein the persistent messaging group is persisted over multiple instant messaging sessions.03-04-2010
20100105424Mobile Communications Device User Interface - Mobile communications device user interface techniques are described. In an implementation, a mobile communications device receives an input via a QWERTY keyboard of the mobile communications device and translates one or more letters in the input into one or more corresponding numbers in accordance with a telephone keypad layout. A telephone call is placed using the one or more corresponding numbers.04-29-2010
20100169153User-Adaptive Recommended Mobile Content - Techniques are described to provide user-adaptive recommended mobile content. In an example implementation, one or more user-specific parameters are detected on a mobile device. Examples of user-specific parameters may include user behavior on the mobile device, the location of the user and/or mobile device, the behavior of a user's associate as part of a social network, and so on. The user-specific parameters are used to identify recommended content that is relevant to the user-specific parameters, and the user is notified of the recommended content. The recommended content may be accessed via the mobile device.07-01-2010
20110072098PERSISTING A GROUP IN AN INSTANT MESSAGING APPLICATION - A system described herein includes a receiver component that receives a request to create a persistent messaging group for an instant messaging application, wherein the request includes an indication of one or more entities that are desired to be members of the persistent messaging group. The system further includes a group creator component that creates the persistent messaging group based at least in part upon the received group creation request, wherein the persistent messaging group is persisted over multiple instant messaging sessions.03-24-2011

20110027018METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TREATING CONTAMINATED MATERIALS - Provided is a method for treating contaminated soil. The method includes providing contaminated soil in a soil chamber that has at least one wall, and at least one floor, at least one heater coupled to or inside of at least one of the walls and at least one substantially elongated floor heater coupled to or in the floor. At least one of the walls at least partially includes a thermally conductive material configured to transfer heat from at least one of the heaters to an interior of the soil chamber. At least one of the walls at least partially encloses an interior of the soil chamber. At least one of the walls can move between a closed position during heating of the soil chamber, and an open position that allows a soil moving vehicle to access an interior of the soil chamber to provide or remove soil to and from the soil chamber unencumbered by piping located within the soil volume. The method also includes heating the contaminated soil within the soil chamber to substantially reduce the level of contaminants in the contaminated soil.02-03-2011

20080298654TEMPERATURE MANAGEMENT FOR ULTRASOUND IMAGING AT HIGH FRAME RATES - To keep the temperature of an ultrasound probe down, the probe is operated at a low frame rate (with correspondingly low heat generation) for the vast majority of time. Probe operation is only switched to the high frame rate temporarily at times when high temporal resolution is needed, preferably under operator control. The probe is only operated at the high frame rate for a short period of time, during which a burst of images with high temporal resolution is obtained. After capturing the short burst of images, the frame rate is cut back, which reduces the generation of heat.12-04-2008
20090122082SUPERIMPOSED DISPLAY OF IMAGE CONTOURS - Disclosed are computer-implemented methods, systems, and computer program products for displaying superimposed image contours. A first centroid or center-of-mass of a contour extracted from a first image that depicts a moving object as the object appeared at a first time is calculated. A second centroid or center-of-mass of a second contour extracted from a second image that depicts the object as the object appeared at a second time is also calculated. The second image depicts the object in substantially the same plane as the first image. The first and second contours are displayed with the respective first and second centroids or centers-of-mass positioned at a common location. In some implementations, the images are ultrasound images depicting, for example, a human heart. The images can be transgastric short axis views of the human heart.05-14-2009
20090149749Method and system for synchronized playback of ultrasound images - A method and system for synchronizing playback of ultrasound images based on user-defined parameters for concurrent and synchronous display. The method comprises defining corresponding intervals of first and second cardiac cycles captured by ultrasound imaging, associating such ultrasound images for substantially synchronized playback, and applying a selected playback speed or time interval for concurrently displaying such images.06-11-2009
