20080234071GOLF BALL WITH DIMPLES HAVING CONSTANT DEPTH - A golf ball having an improved dimple pattern is disclosed. The dimples may have a regular or irregular polygonal perimeter, an undimpled land surface and a depression therein. The perimeter may alternatively comprise a number of linear sides and at least one curved side. At least a portion of the bottom of the depression is convex such that its curvature is substantially identical to the curvature of the land surface making the depth of that portion constant along its surface relative to the land surface. The depression may further comprise a sub-depression. Alternatively, the depression may further comprise a projection. Additionally, the depression may have a polygonal or circular perimeter.09-25-2008
20090011865Multi-Layer Golf Ball - Golf balls consisting of a dual core and a dual cover are disclosed. The dual core consists of an inner core layer formed from a rubber composition and an outer core layer formed from a highly neutralized polymer composition. The Shore C hardness of the outer core layer's outer surface is greater than the material hardness of the inner cover layer, and is preferably 75 Shore C or greater.01-08-2009

The dual core consists of an inner core layer formed from a rubber composition and an outer core layer formed from a highly neutralized polymer composition. The Shore C hardness of the outer core layer's outer surface is greater than the material hardness of the inner cover layer, and is preferably 75 Shore C or greater.01-15-2009
20090075756MULTILAYER GOLF BALL - The present invention encompasses a golf ball having a diameter and being comprised of a core and a cover, wherein the core is further comprised of a fluid mass at the center of the ball, and a first, solid, non-wound mantle layer surrounding the fluid mass, wherein the first mantle layer comprises a copolymer or terpolymer of ethylene and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, the acid being neutralized at least 80% by a salt of an organic acid, a cation source, or a suitable base of the organic acid, and wherein the cover comprises polyurethane, polyurea, or a polyurea/polyurethane hybrid. Preferably, the rate of spin decay is at least 10% of an initial spin rate of the golf ball over the entire ball flight.03-19-2009
20090186719MULTI-LAYER GOLF BALL HAVING VELOCITY GRADIENT FROM FASTER CENTER TO SLOWER COVER - The present invention is directed to multi-layer golf balls having a center, a cover layer, and at least one intermediate layer between the core and the cover layer. The core, the at least one intermediate layer and the cover are constructed to have different initial velocities and COR such that the gradient of the initial velocities and COR progress from a faster center to a slower cover.07-23-2009
20090305816MULTILAYER GOLF BALL - The present invention encompasses a golf ball having a diameter and being comprised of a core and a cover, wherein the core is further comprised of a fluid mass at the center of the ball, and a first, solid, non-wound mantle layer surrounding the fluid mass, wherein the first mantle layer comprises a copolymer or terpolymer of ethylene and an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid, the acid being neutralized at least 80% by a salt of an organic acid, a cation source, or a suitable base of the organic acid, and wherein the cover comprises polyurethane, polyurea, or a polyurea/polyurethane hybrid. 20100016099Method of Making a Golf Ball with a Multi-Layer Core - A multilayer golf ball including a solid center having a center hardness, a plurality of laminates cut into a plurality of shapes formed around the center to create an inner ball, and a cover formed around the inner ball, wherein the plurality of layers can include at least a first layer having a hardness greater than the center hardness and a second layer having a hardness greater than the first layer hardness, and optionally a third layer disposed between the first and the second layers having a hardness greater than the first layer hardness.01-21-2010
20100056300MUTLI-LAYER GOLF BALL HAVING INNER COVERS WITH NON-PLANAR PARTING LINES - The invention comprises a golf ball. The golf ball is formed with a core, at least one intermediate layer, and a cover. The intermediate layer has a non-planar parting line. The molds used to form the intermediate layer have non-planar mating surfaces. The non-planar mating surfaces of the molds mesh, and when the intermediate layer is formed therein, the intermediate layer has a non-planar parting line thereon. If compression molding is used, hemispherical layer blanks may be pre-formed in the shape of the mold halves. To form the intermediate layer, the two blanks are compression molded together. If injection molding is used, a core is placed inside a mold chamber and layer material is injected into the mold chamber to form the intermediate layer about the core. If reaction injection molding is used, two or more reactive precursors are mixed and injected into the mold cavity, and they react to form the intermediate layer. Optional outer layers and a cover are molded on the intermediate layer to form a finished ball.03-04-2010
20100056305RECYCLABLE GOLF BALL AND METHOD THEREFOR - Distribution channels for returning used golf balls to the original manufacturers are disclosed. Incentives for golfers to return golf balls for recycling are also provided.03-04-2010
