20090000238Stretched cable membrane attachment system - In standard single ply membrane roofing, there is a great number of fasteners used. If the roof deck does not accept standard mechanical fasteners, the workload required to mechanically fasten a roof becomes quite immense. The stretched cable membrane attachment system is designed to improve efficiency in installing single ply roofing membrane, as well as improve wind uplift resistance for the roofing system. It consists of a cable that is attached at both ends to the roof substrate or decking and is then sealed from the elements by means of placing additional membrane over it and adhering it to the already installed membrane. One embodiment of the device has the means of installing a turn buckle to increase the cable tension or has the turn buckle as part of its integral design. In another embodiment, the cable can have multiple mechanical fastening points on the interior of its structure in addition to the endpoints.01-01-2009
20090000239Single piece membrane flashing and fastening device and method - The purpose of this invention is to decrease labor involved in waterproofing via flashing and termination of a pliable membrane roofing system at its perimeters and vertical junctures. As opposed to a standard two piece membrane flashing, the invention provides for a single piece of membrane to be used. The single piece of membrane would be taken from that which has already been installed on the flat portion of the roof. The loose section would be folded and the folded section would be anchored to the roof or vertical junctures. The piece now left loose would be folded over the anchoring device and terminated on the roof or vertical juncture. There are 3 devices disclosed which are intended to serve the purpose of anchoring the folded portion of roof. Elimination of the two piece flashing will greatly decrease the labor involved in roof installation with no loss in roof performance.01-01-2009
20090307988Stretched cable membrane attachment system - The system and method of securing a single ply membrane to a roof deck or structure described herein is of a system that utilizes sections of cable that are completely protected or surrounded by the single ply membrane. There may be a set of perimeter cables or interior cables that secure the membrane according to the needs of the building and the necessary specifications on the roof. The cables are secured at their endpoints and, possibly, additional fasteners may be provided along their lengths. Flashing of the cables provides that they be completely protected from the elements, as are most fasteners in flat or low slope roofing systems.12-17-2009

20080316087Simulator For Internal Antennas in Telemetry Devices - Systems and methods are described for simulating an internal antenna within a telemetry device. The simulator device includes a housing having at least one opening, wherein the housing is configured to accommodate close proximity placement of the telemetry device. The simulator device also includes a simulator or test antenna within the housing that corresponds to an internal antenna within a housing of the telemetry device. The simulator device further includes a radio frequency (RF) connector coupled to the simulator housing, for connection to a communication device. The simulator device also includes a fastening mechanism to secure the simulator device over the telemetry device so that the simulator antenna is adjacent to the internal antenna. The proximity of the simulator antenna to the internal antenna provides simulator device RF characteristics that simulate internal antenna RF characteristics.12-25-2008
