20100313834APPARATUS FOR VARIABLY ADJUSTING THE CONTROL TIMES OF GAS EXCHANGE VALVES IN AN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE - An apparatus for variably adjusting the control times of gas exchange valves in an internal combustion engine. The apparatus has a driving element, an output element, at least one pressure chamber, a pressurized medium supply device, and at least one pressure accumulator. The pressurized medium supply device allows pressurized medium to be fed to or discharged from the at least one pressure chamber. A phase angle of the output element relative to the driving element can be changed by supplying or discharging pressurized medium to or from the pressure chamber. The pressure accumulator encompasses a movable element that has a first pressure surface which partially delimits a storage space. The storage space is connected to the pressurized medium supply device. The movable element can be moved against the force of an energy store by pressurizing the storage space.12-16-2010

The apparatus has a driving element, an output element, at least one pressure chamber, a pressurized medium supply device, and at least one pressure accumulator. The supply device allows pressurized medium to be fed to or discharged from the pressure chamber. A phase angle of the output element relative to the input element can be changed by feeding or discharging pressurized medium to or from the pressure chamber. The pressure accumulator encompasses a movable element that has a first pressure surface which partially delimits a storage space. The storage space is or can be connected to the supply device. An energy store applies a force to the movable element in the direction of an initial position. The movable element can be moved against the force of the energy store by pressurizing the storage space.12-30-2010

20100292036TENSIONING DEVICE FOR THE TRACTION MECHANISM DRIVE IN A TIMING SYSTEM ON A MOTOR VEHICLE - A tensioning device for the endless drive in a timing system on a motor vehicle, which has a tensioning piston that can move along a path axis in a housing, within which a pressure chamber is located which houses a working medium which brings about a movement of the tensioning piston in the housing and has a valve seat, connected to the exterior of the tensioning piston by an outlet and accommodating a valve body essentially matching the shape of the valve seat. The valve body is tapered along the axial path axis to the outlet, which allows for a large chamber between the valve body and the valve seat. The path that the working medium, on bleeding gas bubbles from the same, takes from the pressure chamber to the outlet is longer, which increases the hydraulic resistance and restricts and limits emptying of working medium from the tensioning piston.11-18-2010

20100036147INTEGRATED COLLECTION, ANALYSIS, AND RECYCLING METHOD - A recycling method that can be used by an OEM products company or other entity to obtain recovered raw materials for use in its manufacturing operations in a manner that helps ensure the quality and traceability of the recovered raw materials. The process involves first collecting the material from one or more sources, then determining suitability of the material for processing using a series of qualifying tests separated into a two-phase review, wherein each of the qualifying tests is carried out using a composition profile for the material. The first phase of the review utilizes a source composition profile that describes salient features of the material so that it can be reviewed for suitability for processing and end uses as well as for regulatory compliance. The second phase involves similar reviews based on an analytical composition profile that is determined by physical analysis of the material.02-11-2010

20080202538SPRAY AND/OR SOIL TREATMENT OF TOBACCO TO REDUCE TSNAs - Methods for increasing the concentration of antioxidants during senescence and curing of tobacco leaves include application of a chemical solution. The methods include spraying the solution onto the tobacco plant prior to harvest and/or applying the chemical solution to the soil surrounding roots of growing tobacco plants. The application of the chemical solution preferably occurs between topping and harvest, and is optimized to stimulate the production of antioxidants and interfere with the formation of TSNAs during curing. The tobacco can be burley tobacco subjected to air curing.08-28-2008
