20090025328MECHANICAL PLUG AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME - A plug designed to seal an opening formed in a concrete wall. The plug comprises a main body portion, a first end, and a second end wherein the first end and second end are combined by a bolt having a fastener on one end. Washers are combined with the bolt on each end of the plug. The plug has a first diameter wherein it can be inserted into the opening and a second diameter wherein it plugs the opening in the wall. The plug is moved from its first position to its second position by tightening the fastener thereby squeezing the plug between the two washers. This tightening causes an expansion of the plug to its second position, increasing its diameter inside the opening and forming a seal between the plug and the wall of the opening.01-29-2009

20080259844OVER THE AIR MICROCONTROLLER FLASH MEMORY UPDATES - Techniques for over the air (OTA) microcontroller flash memory updates using a wireless network are disclosed herein. A control node first transmits the microcontroller flash memory update to all devices that can receive the message. Each packet of the message is relayed through multiple communication levels until all devices receive the packet. This starts with communications from the control node to each device node that has a direct communication path to the control node, which are referred to herein as “first level” device nodes. The first level device nodes then relay each communication to each other device node that has a direct communication path to the first level device nodes, which are referred to herein as “second level” device nodes. This process is repeated at each level of the wireless network until each of the plurality of device nodes has received the microcontroller flash memory update.10-23-2008
20090167291Method And Apparatus For Monitoring Voltage In A Meter Network - Methods and systems are provided for monitoring input voltages to meters that are in a wireless metering network. A plurality of entries can be created that include voltage-related information, such as a maximum input voltage or a minimum input voltage. Each meter can further determine whether the input voltage is beyond a predetermined threshold voltage for a duration that might indicate a voltage irregularity in the network. Each meter in the network can be monitored by a collector, which can communicate information to a data collection server.07-02-2009
20090168307MECHANICAL PACKAGING APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR AN ELECTRICAL ENERGY METER - An electric meter comprises an electronics housing and a meter base. The electronics housing defines a front panel and includes a first plurality of option board guides. A main meter board is disposed substantially parallel to the front panel. The meter base defines a rear panel of the electric meter. The meter base includes a plurality of housing guides for receiving the electronics housing and a second plurality of option board guides disposed substantially perpendicularly to the rear panel. The second plurality of option board guides are adapted to receive an option board and to position the option board substantially perpendicularly to the main meter board of the electronics housing during assembly of the electronics housing to the meter base. The housing guides in combination with the first and second pluralities of option board guides enable blind assembly of the electronics housing to the meter base.07-02-2009
20090244818TAMPER RESISTANT METER COVER - An electrical meter is provided that includes a cover configured for securement onto a base. The meter includes features that resist meter tampering, and features that provide evidence of meter tampering.10-01-2009

20090056922HEAT EXCHANGER - Specified is a heat exchanger for an exchange of heat between a first fluid, in particular charge air or an exhaust gas, and a second fluid, in particular a coolant, having a block for the separate and heat-exchanging guidance of the first and second fluids, which block has a number of flow ducts which can be traversed by the first fluid and a housing which holds the flow ducts and which can be traversed by the second fluid, at least one casing cover which is flow-connected to the flow ducts, a base which is fixed to the casing cover and which is provided with one or with a plurality of passage openings for the flow ducts, wherein the base is composed of at least one first base part and a second base part.03-05-2009
20100089548HEAT EXCHANGER - A heat exchanger, particularly a charge air heat exchanger or exhaust gas heat exchanger, is provided for the heat exchange between a first fluid, particularly a charge air, or an exhaust gas, and a second fluid, particularly a coolant, comprising the following: heat exchanging guides for the first and second fluids, the guides being separated from each other in the core, the core having a plurality of flow channels through which the first fluid flows, and a housing that receives the flow channels and through which the second fluid flows at least one compartment lid, which is flow-connected to the flow channels, and a base that is attached to the compartment lid and that is equipped with one or more passage openings for flow channels. In order to achieve an advantageous connection of the compartment lid to the base, particularly in case the compartment lid and the base are made of different materials, the invention provides that the compartment lid is attached to the base via one or more connections as a bolted connection and/or a slotted crimping.04-15-2010
