20090293361ADJUSTMENT OF A MOTORIZED POSITIONING DEVICE - A method for calibrating a powered actuator for use in a vehicle is provided, with regard to an end position of an actuating element which is easy to achieve and conserves easily damaged mechanical components of the actuator made from plastic, rubber or similar. According to an example embodiement, in a calibrating step, the actuator is operated with recording and analysis of an actuation speed measured parameter such that the actuating element is moved in the direction of the end position and reaching the end position is recognized when the value of the actuation speed measured parameter reaches or drops below a given threshold. A temperature parameter characterizing the temperature of the actuator is evaluated before or during the calibration process. The calibration step is then only carried out if the value of the temperature parameter does not exceed an upper temperature limit. An actuator suitable for carrying out said method is also disclosed.12-03-2009

20090007493Method and device for adjusting a frameless window pane of amotor vehicle - In a method and a device for adjusting a frameless window pane of a motor vehicle by means of a motorized window lifter activated by a control device, for adjusting the window pane between an open position and a closed position, in which the window pane upper edge is arranged in a window pane seal associated therewith and connected to the motor vehicle roof, the closed position of the window pane and/or the closing force with which the window pane bears against the window pane seal, is altered depending on the relative position of the window pane seal to the window pane upper edge. As a result, a connection of the window pane upper edge to the window pane seal which remains the same irrespective of the driving speed of the motor vehicle, is guaranteed and ensures that even at higher driving speeds there is no occurrence of leakages or increased wind noise.01-08-2009

20090051215METHOD FOR OPERATING A BRAKE SYSTEM FOR MOTOR VEHICLES - The invention relates to a method for operating a braking system for motor vehicles with electrically actuated hydraulic valves, the coils of which are powered up, at least in phases, with currents which modify the currentless state of the hydraulic valves, in order to heat the hydraulic fluid present in the system. The hydraulic fluid is heated via a heating profile which, in accordance with the hydraulic fluid temperature, activates the heating phase of the hydraulic fluid. The heating profile consists of a first heating phase and, subsequent thereto, a second heating phase. During the first heating phase, the coils are powered up in such a way that the coil temperature at the end of the first heating phase corresponds to a pre-defined temperature value of the coil which is at least approximately maintained during the second heating phase when powering up the coils.02-26-2009

20080306451HINGED CAP FOR NEEDLE DEVICE - A hinged cap device for use with a syringe includes a base defining an interior cavity for mounting onto a tip and a cap connected to the base by a living hinge. The cap is moveable from a ready position to an open position to expose a needle, and from the open position to a secured position to prevent relative rotation between the cap and the base. A first latching mechanism is on the cap for engaging the needle, the first latching mechanism locatable on a first side of the needle in the ready position and locatable on a second side of the needle in the secured position. The needle is disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the ready position, and the needle is not disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the secured position.12-11-2008

20100213848DETECT METHOD FOR STEP DIMMING SELECTION - A detect method is provided for performing step dimming selection in an electronic ballast including an End of Lamp Life detect circuit and a half-bridge inverter, the End of Lamp Life detect circuit being connected to an input terminal of the control circuit, wherein each time when the power switch is turned on, it is judged whether the electronic ballast should enter the dimming mode or not by detecting the voltage at the input terminal of the control circuit before the half-bridge inverter starts operating.08-26-2010
20110279941HALF-BRIDGE CIRCUIT PROTECTED AGAINST SHORT CIRCUITS AND HAVING SEMICONDUCTOR SWITCHES - A circuit arrangement with two semiconductor switches connected in series between a first potential connection and a second potential connection is provided. The circuit arrangement may include an inductive element connected in series between the two potential connections and by elements of an action chain of such a nature that, under predefined conditions, a voltage drop across the inductive element effects the switching off of at least one of the semiconductor switches.11-17-2011

20080234959Pitch Extraction with Inhibition of Harmonics and Sub-harmonics of the Fundamental Frequency - The fundamental frequency of a harmonic signal is estimated by forming a fundamental frequency hypothesis (f0′). A comb filter is provided based on the fundamental frequency hypothesis. The harmonic signal is filtered using the comb filter. The fundamental frequency hypothesis is tested for each tooth in the comb filter. A signal indicating an estimated fundamental frequency of the provided harmonic signal may be outputted based on the testing.09-25-2008

20080315640Vehicle Seat - In a vehicle seat with a backrest arranged on a mount and on which at least one head restraint is arranged, an intermediate space formed between a lower delimitation of the head restraint and an upper delimitation the backrest can be covered by a cover device. To reduce a disadvantageous effect on exchangeability, the novel cover device is to be as universally useable as possible and is to readily follow the vertical movement of the head restraint. Accordingly, the present cover device is firstly connected in terms of action to the head restraint and secondly to the backrest in such a manner that, upon a height adjustment of the backrest and/or of the head restraint, an adjustment of the cover device takes place.12-25-2008
