| 20100313520 | METHOD AND APPARATUS TO FIX WOODEN AND OTHER FOUNDATIONS - A method and apparatus for supporting and straightening a framed wall includes a plurality of beams, a mounting plate, a bolt, and a pusher. The mounting plate is secured to the beam and the bolt is threadably secured to the mounting plate. The bolt is received by the pusher. When tightened, the bolt applies pressure to the pusher which in turn applies pressure to the framed wall. Alternatively, a plurality of mounting plates and pushers may be used to apply pressure to a cross beam and thereby efficiently apply pressure to a plurality of framed wall beams. By tightening the bolt, the user can apply pressure to the beam and straighten or retain the wall. As the wall shifts during periods of correction, the bolt may be re-tightened to apply additional pressure to the wall. | 12-16-2010 |

| 20120081124 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING PHYSICAL STATUS OF SWITCH ELEMENTS - System and methods are provided for monitoring a state of a switch element connecting a DC power supply to a load. A system includes a transformer having first and second windings, where a first end of the second winding electrically coupled to a first switch node of the switch element. The system also includes a transmit circuit configured for providing a waveform at the first winding and a sensor element having galvanically isolated input and output nodes for inducing a monitor signal at the output nodes in response to a signal at the input nodes. The system further includes a receive circuit coupled to the output nodes and configured for generating one or more output signals in response to the monitor signal. The system also includes capacitor elements for providing DC isolation for the second winding with respect to the first switch node and the sensor element. | 04-05-2012 |

| 20110092488 | Quninoline Methanol Compounds for the Treatment and Prevention of Parasitic Infections - Malaria is responsible for 1-2 million deaths and 300-500 million clinical cases annually and is an ever present problem for the military, tourists and business travelers. Mefloquine is known and used for malaria prophylaxis. However it is associated with neurological effects. The present invention is directed to providing new and novel quinoline analogs that are less neurotoxic than mefloquine without compromising efficacy. The present invention is also directed to the prevention and treatment of other microbial, parasitic, protozoan, bacterial and fungal diseases. | 04-21-2011 |
