20090004399Tile Coating and Process Therefor - The invention relates to a method of coating a substrate. A monomer in at least a partly flowable form is discharged from a melt blowing die and entrained in monomer in a flow of hot gas from at least one side of said melt blow die. The monomer is then deposited on a substrate by sputtering under positive pressure.01-01-2009
20090071079Tile trim flashings - Three dimensional flashings suitable for association with buildings where at least part of the flashing is a shape retaining three dimensional form to render its association with an underlying three dimensional substrate of the building easier even should it not initially match the conformation thereof. Such a flashing in such three dimensional region is adhesively associable with the substrate and includes for shape retention purposes below a suitable flexible weather resistant layer (e.g.; EDPM) an underlying conformable three dimensionally conformed material such as aluminium sheeting (optionally in a mesh form).03-19-2009
20090302500Forming Apparatus - The present invention relates to method of forming a material, including the steps of, presenting a formable material to a space from where the material can be carried by and/or between opposing surfaces of the space, as the opposing surfaces advance in an advancing direction. Also pressurising, as the opposing surfaces advance, the material between the opposing surfaces in a reduced space between the opposing surfaces defining at least in part a pressure forming zone. The reduced space between the opposing surfaces being maintained at least substantially constant until such time as the form of at least one of the opposing surfaces is profiled into the material and is retainable thereon. Thereafter releasing the now profiled material from between the opposing surfaces, as the space increases between the opposing surfaces as the surfaces advance. The relative movement between adjacent tools of at least one set of forming tools over the zone before the pressure forming zone is only towards the forming tools of the other opposing surface.12-10-2009
20090302545PERIPHERAL SEALING GLAND FOR ELONGATE OBJECTS PASSING THROUGH A SURFACE OR BEYOND A PIPE END - The invention relates to a peripheral sealing gland to form a seat between an elongate member and a substantially flat surface. The gland has an at least in part tapered skirt or frustoconical shaped skirt through which the elongate member is to pass and defining at the upper periphery of the skirt and deformable upper seal to deform about and seal to a periphery of said elongate member. A flange depends from the lower periphery of the skirt including on its outward from the skirt presented surface, at least one endless lip to seal when brought into contact, against said substantially flat surface. A compression ring is able to bear on said flange, to be fastened to said substantially flat surface to capture the flange therebetween.12-10-2009
20100173036Forming Apparatus - The present invention relates to a forming apparatus for forming a formable material or materials. The apparatus has a first forming tool set, and a second forming tool set. Each forming tool of the second forming tool set is adapted to co-act with one or more forming tools of the first forming tool set, or vice versa, to form a co-acting forming tool in a pressure forming zone. There is a first forming tool set guide or guides about which the first forming tool set can be moved about a first circuit. There is also a second forming tool set guide or guides about which the second forming tool set can be moved about a second circuit. There is also a drive means to drive the tools in a machine direction. At least on part of the circuit, immediately before or after the pressure forming zone, adjacent forming tools of one the forming tool sets are movably supported such that the only relative movement of said adjacent forming tools is towards or away from the forming tools of the other forming tool set with which they co-act.07-08-2010

20090221722Multiple Reactor Chemical Production System - The present invention is a multiple reaction set for the production of chemicals by equilibrium limited reactions utilizing plate-type or extended surface heat exchangers. The heat exchangers effectively cool the reaction products in order to condense the methanol contained within the reaction products for separation, and also to warm incoming feed reactants prior to entrance of the reactants into a reactor utilized for the production of methanol. The various reactors, heat exchangers, and separators can be formed as separated zones within the enclosed vessels, thereby eliminating the need for separately constructed reactors, heat exchangers, and separators. Multi-stream plate-type of extended surface heat exchangers can be utilized to allow efficient cooling and methanol separation. The multiple reaction set can also be used for the recovery of methanol from a waste or purge gas stream utilizing multiple reactors, multiple plate-type or extended surface heat exchangers and multiple separators as a substitute for or in conjunction with a conventional methanol synthesis loop.09-03-2009

20120015347Methods for Assaying Cellular Binding Interactions - There are provided methods, and devices for assaying for a binding interaction between a protein, such as a monoclonal antibody, produced by a cell, and a biomolecule. The method may include retaining the cell within a chamber having an aperture; exposing the protein produced by the cell to a capture substrate, wherein the capture substrate is in fluid communication with the protein produced by the cell and wherein the capture substrate is operable to bind the protein produced by the cell; flowing a fluid volume comprising the biomolecule through the chamber via said aperture, wherein the fluid volume is in fluid communication with the capture substrate; and determining a binding interaction between the protein produced by the cell and the biomolecule.01-19-2012

20100040993APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETECTING DENTAL PATHOLOGIES - A diagnostic tool for detection of dental pathology is provided that functions as a self-contained, handheld unit. The tool includes a light probe and a housing within which are located an optical source, an optical detector, an analysis processor and a power source. The components within the housing are integrated on a support which is removable from the housing. The housing is in multiple pieces which may be connected together during operation, and disconnected to allow removal of the support. This allows for sterilization of the housing and light probe without the electrical components of the device.02-18-2010

20080259321System and Method for Rapid Reading of Macro and Micro Matrices - An analyte reading system which includes a reader unit for rapidly detecting and evaluating the outcome of an assay to measure the presence of analytes in a sample. Quantitative and qualitative measurements of analyte concentration in a sample may be rapidly obtained using the reader device with algorithms which ascertain the nature of the assay and perform a comparison against a calibration sample. The reader device scans preset areas of an assay device in order to provide focal points for the reader device and evaluate the volume of the test sample in the assay device. The reading portion of the assay slide has at least one test dot for detecting the presence of the analyte and the signal intensity of the labelled analyte, and processes the detected signal using an algorithm which provides an accurate output measurement indicating the quantity of the analyte in the test sample. The reader device can read the analyte as a random array format, print and read the analyte to be measured in a fixed array format, and print and read the analyte in a hybrid format consisting of both fixed and random arrays.10-23-2008
