20090098385MULTI-LAYERED BELT - A multi-layered belt, in particular a continuous running and/or transport and/or processing belt, includes a traction layer and a functional layer that contains a gel. To reduce the stress placed on the transported goods, in particular persons, the gel is an unplasticized gel and the functional layer consist of a coating containing the interspersed gel. In addition, to a method for producing a belt of this type is provided, in which the gel is poured in a continuous method onto the traction layer and a mixer and delivery unit is guided back and forth in a reversible manner perpendicular to the displacement direction of the traction layer in such a way that a gel layer with a uniform thickness is applied to the traction layer. Furthermore, the use of said belt as a running belt for persons, in particular as a running belt for training and/or fitness equipment is described.04-16-2009

20090218366DISPENSER MIXING MODULE AND METHOD OF ASSEMBLING AND USING SAME - A mixing module that includes a mixing chamber formed of a cold flow material and placed within a housing which includes a compression device for compressing the cold flow material through which extends a reciprocating rod, preferably in the form of a valve rod relative to one or more chemical ports formed in the mixing chamber to mix or deliver chemicals within a mixing reception recess. The mixing chamber features a locking arrangement between the cold flow material mixing chamber and the housing which acts to prevent movement of the mixing chamber within the housing due to a sticking of the reciprocating rod to the mixing chamber which otherwise produces a position change in the mixing chamber as the compression device is temporarily compressed until the rod be comes unstuck and releases. The invention also includes an open front and rear end housing with releasable front and rear caps allowing easy insertion of the mixing chamber preferably having an annular front end rim as the locking member for receipt within a corresponding recess in the housing.09-03-2009
20100313965Locking Fire Hydrant - A locking fire hydrant includes a fire hydrant body having an internal channel extending between a main cap recess and an auxiliary cap recess defined therein. A plunger assembly including first and second plungers is disposed within the internal channel. The first plunger is disposed such that an end thereof is capable of extending into a main cap recess and the second plunger is disposed such that an end thereof is capable of extending into an auxiliary cap recess. When the second plunger is actuated by mounting a locking cap on the fire hydrant body, one of the ratchet teeth provided on the back side of the auxiliary cap engages the second plunger to prevent the auxiliary cap from being removed from the fire hydrant body. A locking cap, an opening tool, and methods of securing an auxiliary cap to a fire hydrant also are described.12-16-2010

20100054224COMMUNICATION SUBSYSTEM FOR WIRELESS DEVICES OR THE LIKE - Briefly, in accordance with one embodiment of the invention, a wireless terminal may include an application subsystem and a communication subsystem. The communication subsystem in one embodiment may enable a virtual direct interface to a remote network to be presented to the application subsystem via a wireless communication system air link interface. The communication subsystem may allow applications of the application subsystem to be independent of any particular radio technology or network implementation of a wireless communication system air link interface. Once a session is established between the communication subsystem and the wireless communication system air link interface, the application subsystem may gain access to the remote network through the communication subsystem via a transport interface.03-04-2010
