20100228218Absorbent Article Providing A Better Fit And More Comfort To A Wearer - A disposable pull-on garment has a front waist region and a back waist region opposite the front waist region. The disposable pull-on garment also has a chassis and front and back waist members attached to the chassis in the front and back waist regions, respectively. The front waist member has a first retraction force and the back waist member has a second retraction force. The disposable pull-on garment also has a pair of side members attaching the front waist region to the back waist region, thereby forming a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. Each of the pair of side members includes a waist zone and a hip zone. The waist zones have retraction forces which are about equal to the first retraction force, and the hip zones have retraction forces which are greater than the first or second retraction forces.09-09-2010

20090259504METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PAR OPTIMIZATION - Methods and systems for optimizing a product supply chain, including managing and maintaining an optimum product inventory with respect to stock levels, frequency of use, and replenishment intervals for products in a clinical setting. Actual or historical par data and simulation parameters, such as par types, delivery schedules, and/or vendor settings, are received or updated, and one or more simulations are performed. The product supply chain is optimized based on the results of the simulations.10-15-2009

20090120294SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING CONTAMINANTS FROM REACHING A GAS PURIFIER - The present invention is directed to the prevention of an exothermic reaction in the gas purifier of an ultra-high purity gas system.05-14-2009
20090125127SYSTEM FOR PREVENTING UNNECESSARY SHUTDOWN OF A HIGH-PURITY GAS PRODUCTION PLANT - A novel fail-safe temperature monitoring system that can distinguish excessive chemical adsorbent temperature from temperature sensing component failure is provided. This system prevents the gas purifier from shutting down as a result of temperature sensing component failure, and thereby prevents a false shutdown of a high-purity gas production plant.05-14-2009

20090232824BIVM (BASIC, IMMUNOGLOBULIN-LIKE VARIABLE MOTIF-CONTAINING) GENE, TRANSCRIPTIONAL PRODUCTS, AND USES THEREOF - The subject invention provides polynucleotide sequences, designated BIVM, and transcriptional/translational products obtained from the polynucleotide sequences of the invention. The subject invention also provides polynucleotide and polypeptide sequences provided by SEQ ID NOs: 1-28. Also provided are methods of detecting the presence of BIVM nucleic acids or polypeptides in samples suspected of containing BIVM genes, BIVM transcriptional products, or BIVM translational products. These methods are also useful for the detection of BIVM orthologs. Other embodiments provide polypeptide and/or nucleic acid vaccines for the induction of an immune response to in an individual. Kits for detecting the presence of BIVM genes, orthologs thereof, BIVM polypeptides, or BIVM transcriptional products are also provided.09-17-2009

20090065678SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A TILTED OPTICAL RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - Systems and methods are provided for depositing solder in a first pattern over a first bonding pad on the substrate; depositing solder in a second pattern over a second bonding pad on the substrate, wherein the second pattern defines a larger area than the first pattern; placing the electronic device on the substrate such that pads on the electronic device are aligned with the first and second bonding pads; and reflowing the solder between the pads on the electronic device and the first and second bonding pads, causing the solder deposited on the first bonding pad to form a first solder joint and the solder deposited on the second bonding pad to form a second solder joint. The second solder joint is larger than the first solder joint causing the electronic device to be attached at an angle relative to the substrate.03-12-2009

20100252177ADHESIVE MICROSTRUCTURES - Improved fabricated adhesive microstructures and methods of fabricating adhesive microstructures incorporating deformable materials are provided. The fabricated adhesive microstructures exhibit significantly improved adhesion strengths at least at smooth surfaces such as glass, as compared to known fabricated adhesive microstructures. The adhesion strengths of fabricated microstructures of the invention for a range of smooth glass contact surfaces may be in the range of between about 125 kPa and 220 kPa in air at one atmosphere pressure and in the range of between about 25 kPa and 120 kPa in vacuum. Synthetic elastomers are used in the invention. A method of fabricating new adhesive microstructures having multiple levels of compliance with a surface has been proposed. Methods of fabricating new double-sided adhesive microstructures via moulding have further been proposed.10-07-2010
